We really do need to get our front court involved in games some how.

statistically over the last four games for our starting front court meaning Kate and Ashton we average

 4.8 pts. 4.5 rb. and we get to the line .6 times a game.  Stats do not tell the full story.  That being said, they don't lie and those numbers are unexceptable especially when you have the size advantage.  The .6 times to the line is most troubling to me, it tells me were not taking the fight to or rather attacking the opponent on the offensive end.

 

Anyway if we get our front court involved, we should win pretty easily.

Feel certain we'll be very focused after the last game. Really doubt we won't persevere and take it to them.   GBR

It would be nice if we could rebound on the defensive end.  Wisconsin posts have blown by our posts twice for layups.  Lucky that we have hit some threes.

Not sure I’ve ever seen a team with slower foot speed than us.    Most fans just watch offense.  But I’m telling you we are god awful on defensive  speed and quickness.  Some of it is just slow, and some of it is effort.  We get by with some of it due to a shot blocking post.  Ultimately, to go anywhere, we’re gonna have to recruit more quickness, and emphasize  playing harder on D.  If anyone tries to contend we look remotely like playing with our hair on fire on defense, they would be wrong.

Can’t believe how easy it is for Wisconsin to enter the ball to their posts.  We cannot get the ball to Cain.  Our offense is heavily reliant on threes.  And our defense is not the best.

End of the  quarter an example.  Just didn’t play the possession hard.  Ref missed the travel, but never should have not been on the shooter

And I dont think it is getting better with some of the players coming in next year.

Wisky is shooting 46% mid way thru the 2nd qtr.  .......pretty typical of the lack of defense by your opponent.

One positive, we handled the full court pressure, towards the end of the half.  Not sure if we've made improvement, or Wisconsin isn't good at it, but was nice to see.

What frustrates me is our inability to execute the last shot of a quarter as the clock is running down. I don’t think we have succeeded in doing that more than twice out of the last 10 or 12 opportunities

Almost always, we have a turnover or we shoot and miss too soon and the opponent in Rebounds and ends it with a successfully executed last second possession

Would have been nice to pressure them from the back court.  Make them use some clock.  Poor situation management.

Another obvious example was poor Grace trying to guard the baseline dribble.   Just got blown by, we have to help, wide open 3, bang.

getting out shot 48 to 36 and only down by 3.  We could try rebounding and see if it helps.

We take out Bourne after she makes a play.  I don’t understand.

Mitchell simply can’t guard anyone.  You can’t have her in the game.  Bless her heart cause she’s a great kid, but she can’t defend

The players wear monitors that are hooked up to an I pad that tells when a player is getting tired. so that is prolly y coach took her out.

Unfortunately she's not the only one today

Our non-conference schedule, might have left us with a false sense of well being.  Not sure this team, or players, have shown improvement from last year.
