Really feel bad for Rachel Blackburn.  She was really looking forward to returning and was hoping to play more of a leadership role this year.  The team will miss her 'Moxie' in taking it to the other team.

Already down to 11 healthy players that are eligible this year.  Darien Washington will obviously get more playing time.  Hope she's ready.  All three remaining bigs need to stay healthy.  Grace M. can take it to the hoop as well as shoot outside but the big ten has a lot of bruisers inside that love physical play.  Should be interesting.

Sounds like Grace is putting in the extra time working on her own. She'll do well with that kind of attitude.

 

Good thing we will have Allie for this coming year. Blackburn will follow up next year, so the big problem is workable so to speak (with Jess, Washington, and Allie...and maybe some help from Grace.)

btw, wasn't she supposed to have had surgery soon after last season? pretty sure there was some discussion.

Yes she was, Maybe it didn't get fixed right.

Yes!  Being out-of-state and having no direct ties to Husker Athletics, this board is my only source of information on what's happening in the program.  I also miss Dlrrk's unique perspective on the program and insights into the players, new recruits, and how they are relating to the new coaches!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, RACHEL BLACKBURN (one of my favorite players to watch from last year - she's got 'Moxie.')
