The women's UConn Olympic BBall team is doing great ! ( ;)  )

The women are playing together offensively and defensively.... very smoothly and with confidence.  Wonderful to watch. They put on a great show.

The men's team on the other hand is too "NBA" and doesn't defend or play hard consistently. They're just getting out hustled.....and in some cases ...out shot.

The world is catching up. X-NBA players on many of the teams. Lot's of very good shooters on many of the international teams, and they all play tough, fast, and hard. Our NBA'ers don't seemed to be used to that I guess.

Anyway, I'm buried in the TV watching Phelps, the Nebraska Jordon Larson & USA women's volleyball team, gymnastics,. etc etc. My wife want's to know when I'll return to the real world.

Don't forget Jack Sock, the first gold medal winner from Lincoln since 1912!   :)

(Any rumor that I witnessed the first one is false).

I've got to piggy back on to your post redsteve and give major props to Husker wbb alumni Danielle Page playing for the Serbia National Olympic team. She's having one heck of a showing in Rio and has helped Serbia advance out of Group B into the quarterfinals at the Rio Olympics. She's making all Husker wbb fans really proud!!

I highly doubt our NBA players aren't "used to playing hard and fast" as they play in the hardest and fastest basketball league on the planet. Their woes definitely have more to do with "want to" and respecting their opponents imo.

As proven last night.  Before that the offensive and defensive efforts were poor.  The next two games could still be interesting but it looks like Coach K will be going defense.  Durant looking like he did in the 2010 world championships.

I really like international basketball.  The flow of the game is so much better than college and NBA games.

USA women's BBall won the gold, and were remarkable, just remarkable, all through the Olympics.

Very focused and played the game together as a collective team, with everyone working together with one goal in mind.

Not a Geno fan, but he did assemble, and have the team playing outstanding BBall. You could watch and see his coaching theory /schemes....... and his "stamp" on the team.  The players sure responded to him.

Awesome !

Congratulations to Danielle Page for being the first former Nebraska Women's Basketball player to medal in the Olympics! Danielle played a big role in helping Sebia win the bronze medal!

Yes, in the medal awarding ceremony, the TV commentator mentioned that Danielle played at Nebraska
