chuck.bentjen Posted May 29, 2016 Report Posted May 29, 2016 I just have a gut feeling about RCJ. Honestly, I didn't understand why she wasn't more highly recruited. She's an Emily Cady type of player who is very unselfish but when you look at her stat line at the end of the day you see she's done it all. She's a hard worker who matches well with Coach Williams. Fastbreaker Posted May 29, 2016 Report Posted May 29, 2016 I hope you're right. But what do you see that 65 power five conference coaches did not see? Emily Cady was a highly recruited top 100 player. Jensen isn't. Quote
chuck.bentjen Posted May 29, 2016 Author Report Posted May 29, 2016 I hope you're right. But what do you see that 65 power five conference coaches did not see? What did Tom Osborne see in Trev Alberts that others didn't. It's just a gut feeling. Like I said, she's not flashy but she's smart and has good skill. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
Fastbreaker Posted May 29, 2016 Report Posted May 29, 2016 Well she had better be good. With Nat leaving and Doyle not coming, she it going to get a thrown into the fire. I know she is a very hard worker and smart player. I just hope her physical attributes hold up to the upper D1 level. She is going to face UCONN in her 4th game. Hope she can handle it. Quote
chuck.bentjen Posted May 29, 2016 Author Report Posted May 29, 2016 I don't know that she's going to make an immediate impact but it wouldn't surprise me to see her getting some playing time early on. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote

Yea, kinda like that girl from a little town out in western Ne......what was her name ?...Hooper I think. chuck.bentjen Posted May 29, 2016 Author Report Posted May 29, 2016 Are we talking about the same player? What's not to like? 5'10" combo guard, 22 ppg, 40.9% from 3 point, a solid rebounder, good defender, and 34 made free throws in a row against the best competition the state has to offer. Not to mention, she's a coach's kid who's played with Jess Shepherd forever. http://usatodayhss.com/2016/gatorade-nebraska-girls-basketball-poy-rylie-cascio-jensen redsteve 1 Quote
caveman Posted May 30, 2016 Report Posted May 30, 2016 Hey as a Fremontian I love her game. She is good in every facet of the game. Note I said good not great. What is great about her is her mentality. She reinvented her game twice in high school. The first time was to take a back seat and play with Jess and the second was to play without her. Will she be a star, I kind of doubt it. That being said she is the kind of player every coach needs to have on their team. Very focussed, smart and mentally tough. chuck.bentjen 1 Quote
Noah121 Posted May 30, 2016 Report Posted May 30, 2016 Though I don't follow recruiting very much, I am the eternal optimist in thinking that any recruit has a chance to make a big contribution to the team. Silverbacked1 and chuck.bentjen 2 Quote
HUD Posted May 31, 2016 Report Posted May 31, 2016 I think that is a great approach. Be positive and support them in every way. chuck.bentjen 1 Quote
