When does next years schedule come out? Everyone here has me fired up! I'm ready!!
-
Until officials are reprimanded or punished for doing a poor job there will never be a change. Guessing if most of us here had a less than stellar rating at our job we would be in the unemployment line. But unfortunately the NCAA sits back and watches the money roll in without any worry of repercussions.

I was wondering same thing. Are CBS or ESPN there with direct feed? Or will they get it from affiliates?

Couldn't find a pic of the little bald guy but Bo Boroski is the Nicholas Cage look a like. And Tom Eades is another old gray haired guy that is bad. He slicks his hair back like a werewolf.
-
Other than running into Kent Pavelka we must've been in close proximity. Good times indeed. Always had fun with the ISU fans at Kelly's in Westport.
-
Hoping the Nicholas Cage lookalike and the short shaved headed guy fail to make the trip also.

Just curious what others think about the bringing in of transfers (once they have made known their intentions to transfer) from other schools as a viable recruiting tool. I'm not saying it should be based solely on transfers but should a bigger effort placed on it? Miles nailed it with Petteway and Pitchford but did he just get lucky? And with the success of those 2 could MIles use it to target and lure other potential stars?

I've always wondered about the student section doing something collectively with apps on their phones, whether it be some sort of animal sounds, sirens or even flatulence.

Not a fan of Brent Musburger but he just said he thought that Big 12 only deserved 6 teams and not the 7 or possibly 8 that people think.

They are the Worldwide Leader in Sports....propaganda!

I recall Evansville Purple Aces had those sleeved jerseys! It was quite a look... Knew there was another team but my old brain couldn't reel it in.
-
I was worried that they would go with a "short sleeve" look, aka Bradley Braves, from years ago. And Jean Beck would boo all of you for bringing her name up in this thread.

What are our chances of making the NCAA Tournament?

Really interesting to see how things/attitudes/performance etc. can change over a couple months. Very few if anyone saw this team being where it is at today. -
Nebraska 16-10 Vs. Illinois 15-12 Game Thread

As well as NU played at home the last 2 games and during the win streak that poor 1st half makes up for it on the bad side. -
A schedule is a schedule. There will always be "what ifs". What if NU started 8-2 and was now going thru the 0-4 slump? Did that 0-4 start in conference hurt NU? Is Oklahoma St. 7 game losing streak not as bad since they were a top 10 team at one point?

Has Nebraska ever led by 25+ points in back to back conference games in the history of the program? -
Did anyone else think TP may have passed up a possible short running jumper and passed it to Rey for a wide open 3? I thought he did and it almost felt like TP knows that Rey hitting from the outside will only make this team better.

It's good to be good to the good.
-
They just had a Team A and Team B comparison on College Gameday. It turned out to be SMU and NU and Digger Phelps just said he "thinks Nebraska will steal a bid."
-
Walter appeared to take a couple steps on his own after Shields and TP took him down the hallway. Doesn't mean it didn't hurt but is hopefully just a "stinger" type issue.

I hate that. I really do. I don't typically like sitting next to other team's fans and I have found that people in my section seem to regularly sell their tickets to fans from the opposing Big 10 teams we've faced. But hearing Creighton fans trying to surpass the loudness of our crowd -- even though there are fewer of them -- grates on me like no other. On the bright side, had you succumbed to the vomitworthiness of it all, at least you would have barfed on the 4 Bluejay fans in front of you. (Or should I say le Bleujay fans in front of you?) My son brought his best friend to the game and he was even getting tired of their "immaculate" self proclamation. My son and his friend were 13 years old.

Yeah, they really better enjoy the ride this year because you're so right: Teams like this are special for the very reason that they don't happen often. Very rarely, in fact. They might not have this combination of players, or anything close, in the remaining lifetimes of a lot of their fans. I mean, they ain't Duke, afterall. And the McDermott kid is just amazing. Fantastic player. And you build around him with some guys who have some tools and it makes for a very special Creighton team. I would compare Doug McD to Jordan Hooper on our women's team. The difference being that Greg McD managed to have some guys around like Wragge and Gibbs and Manigat who can fill out a lineup, whereas Nebraska's women's program has a three-headed monster and not enough talented depth to leverage the kind of player Jordan Hooper is. The point being that it's not enough just to have that one elite player if you don't have the supporting cast to make the whole team successful. And not that Nebraska's women aren't good this year. They are. But they won't be the team they might have if the quality players had extended a little further down the bench. And that's what Creighton has and that's why Creighton's season is such a special and rare thing for them. It's not just that they have Doug McDermott. They have a supporting cast to go along with him. And that combo might never happen quite that way for them again. Certainly it's never happened for them before. According to the BlueJay fans sitting in front of me at the Nebraska game last year you are incorrect. These 4 older gentlemen were actually talking and comparing Creighton to NC, Duke and KU. Both talentwise and on tradition and historical standpoint. It was all vomitworthy.

The pacers have offered the use of Bankers life field house if they needed itWould that be an advantage or disadvantage?

Huskers are supposed to play at Indiana on March 5th. Any chance game could be moved to a neutral sight if there are structural concerns?
