Didn't I read somewhere that the family was involved in determining the way Michael's injury would be communicated?

Is this the death knell for Rick Pitino's program?

I hope that somebody is Nebraska I don't. We have a winner and I don't have to feel slimy to support Tim Miles. -
Husker pre-season scrimmage, pick a winner
MandRHusker replied to Norm Peterson's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
Watching the team in Spain this is my best guess....Whites win with superior talent, particularly at pg. -
If he was offered by CSU & Ohio for football he must be somewhat athletic. Is he athletic enough to contribute on the court at some point in his career?

Campus police? Lol I'm certain that will be a professional comprehensive investigation. Maybe the Keystone Cops can help too! -
In the photo with Jeriah Horne he was wearing a walking boot!

Is there a different link for the 2nd half? -
I was told that Hammond was around 220 all season last year and did not know how to eat to maintain muscle mass. So 233 would be real progress.

Chris Obekpa 2015 Transfer St John's -> UNLV
MandRHusker replied to Jugular's topic in Husker Hoops Recruiting
If we don't land Chukwu it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world. I think he's a worthy scholarship player and signing him would be better than leaving a scholarship open like we have done every year since Miles has been hired. With this staffs ability to recruit I have no problem leaving a scholarship open for a better prospect next season. Sometimes keeping your powder dry is the best option. -
I wonder when Gill arrives & if he will participate in overseas trip?

Paschal Chukwu 2015 C Providence transfer -> Syracuse
MandRHusker replied to TheKamdyMan's topic in Husker Hoops Recruiting
Robin at Rivals says no one has had luck reaching Chukwu directly. He also said that a source within the Husker program said Chukwu had a very good visit to Nebraska and really hit it off with the coaching staff, particularly Coach Miles. -
Jacob Hammond reflects on first year with Cornhuskers
MandRHusker replied to trickey's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
Jacob needs to learn to eat right and put on good weight. If this happens he'll be a serious contributor. -
Paschal Chukwu 2015 C Providence transfer -> Syracuse
MandRHusker replied to TheKamdyMan's topic in Husker Hoops Recruiting
It will be interesting to see if Chukwu sets another visit somewhere else now that Kansas is full. Any thoughts? The Kansas faithful will be disappointed in this development as they were set on Chukwu instead of Coleby. -

Wow, this is huge! How does Coleby compare to Chukwu? Who is the better prospect? -
Max Bielfeldt (Michigan 2015 Transfer)
MandRHusker replied to gobigredbrah's topic in Husker Hoops Recruiting
You're hearing that we may get Max? I lost hope when I was told extra stipulations were placed on Max when considering a transfer within the B1G. Max would be a tremendous compliment to our current group. When you say 2/2, is the other Gill? What sort of stipulations are you hearing? I've heard nothing about anything that would hinder his coming here. I could see something along the lines of them not wanting to let him go to MSU or OSU, but I haven't heard about anything that would prevent him from coming here. I can't imagine he'd visit a place where he'd have difficulty getting into. I don't know the specifics but was told the B1G made it possible but more difficult for Max to transfer within the conference. Sorry, wish I had more. The source was very good. I was told not to expect the addition of a big for next season. Hope this information is inaccurate! No worries. My source is pretty close to the situation, too, but unless yours is coach Miles, I'm comfortable saying they're not close to done trying to filling that spot, whether it's Max or someone else. Great news that we have other options. I assume the individual who told me the information about Max's recruitment and not to expect a big for next season was trying to manage expectations. -

Max Bielfeldt (Michigan 2015 Transfer)
MandRHusker replied to gobigredbrah's topic in Husker Hoops Recruiting
Those hurdles have been cleared and is the only reason he started visiting B1G schools. Unfortunately not the case completely. From what I hear, while it is possible for Max to transfer within the B1G, it is still much more difficult than transferring outside the conference. The B1G included a few stipulations when granting his release. I don't know what they are specifically. -

I think there will be fewer hurdles for Max to transfer to Iowa State than a B1G school. -
So, we gotta take it one game at a time, huh? We intend to play for championships, but we gotta learn to walk before we can run. It's a process. We have to control the things we can control. At the end of the day, it is what it is. Something along those lines? Exactly. But you can see from Swan's detailed report that I must not have been listening closely!

2016 PF/C Mitch Lightfoot -> Kansas
MandRHusker replied to The Polish Rifle's topic in Husker Hoops Recruiting
McDermitt has always been good at recruiting talent. But he has normally failed to do anything with it. Look at his tenure at Iowa State. Great recruiting, poor results on the court.
