  1. Yikes. Our turn for a meltdown.
  2. Parker drives for a layup and scores. Pinch me.
  3. Oh my gosh. A Buckeye meltdown.
  4. Could fatigue be setting in on the Buckeyes? I hope! 8 point lead.
  5. Nope. You put so much thought into that title and the first sentence that I completely overlooked it.
  6. Stay humble. Let's just finish the second half.
  7. Yes!!! Way to finish the half, guys.
  8. If we can stay within 5 points of them at the half, I can take that.
  9. Iowa 2014 = Nebraska 1996
  10. Wow, has NW hit this many 3's all year?
  11. Has there been any buzz about how well the fans will travel? Haven't heard anything, really. I see red in the stands tonight but guessing it's mostly Indiana fans.
  12. I'm looking forward to seeing how many NU fans are in the stands on Friday.
  13. Hopefully we hang with the Buckeyes the first half. Generally the team who played the night before has the advantage of momemtum carrying over to the first half of the 2nd game. Then fatigue sets in the 2nd half.
  14. We've had this argument before, and I certainly - in part - see your point. But I have to think (hope) that we can leverage the recent success into a bigger haul for 2015. We have 2, maybe 3 open for 2014 and another 2 open for 2015. I agree we have to sign one more this year from what's available from the pile of leftovers. Maybe we can get another filled with a transfer. But I don't mind at all if they keep 1 open in the hopes of signing 3 quality 4-star types, not 2, for the fall signing period. We've got the nation's attention right now and we ought to cultivate that improved image while it is fresh in recruit's minds.
  15. That comment was a disgrace to all of the high school gyms out there! I suppose you could call Cameron Indoor a disgrace too, given it's lack of modern amenities. Personally, I think it has a lot of charm from what I've seen on TV. And the crowd seem pretty engaged when we played them last month. I bet Noah would have some thoughts that are worth hearing.
  16. I'm not sure how one could know if Bo had been in this environment before unless they followed him around the last 30 years and attended every game he coached. For my part, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt.
  17. Speaking of which, I wish I could edit the thread title to eliminate the misspelling of "Exorcist." As a fan, it's on my radar. As a fan, I know disappointment. I understand where Miles is coming from but he wasn't here for all those years where we had heartache on account of one thing or another. But I was. I've been waiting for this. For Miles, these last two seasons took place in somewhat of a vacuum. He only knows the history of Nebraska basketball dating to April 2012. He hasn't felt out pain for the last 15 years (and further back than that if you really want to know the truth of it.) But I don't think I could appreciate how truly special that moment was last night had it not been for the years of frustration and agony of near misses that we've experienced leading up to last night. I welcome the bandwagoners but I don't think they can really get how special last night was. Not like the people who lived through the Roburt Sallie debacle or the months leading up to Collier resigning. Unless you were among the 4,000 or so of us who showed up on a blustery cold winter night to get out-yelled by a bunch of drunk Iowa State fans, you might have difficulty appreciating exactly how far we've come. I wasn't calling you out, Norm, but I think you know that. Anyone who has followed the program the last 15 years probably has wondered once or twice if the program is jinxed, which is why I defended Dirk asking the question. It wasn't a most insightful question to ask a coach. But by putting that question out there, he gave Miles an opportunity to publicly tell everyone it's time to give that mindset up.
  18. Folks, we have a thread started right now called "The Exorrcist". That tells me that Dirk isn't the only one that has the past on their mind. If a local writer brings up issues with the coach that reflects the feelings of the fan base, how that is out of line? Having said all that, I loved Miles' answer. And I think his answer was targeted to our fans more than it was targeted at Dirk or Lee.
  19. Wouldn't Cipriano or Nee be the Devaney.... then, Miles can be the Osborne w/ the 25-yr winning tenure! I think it's bigger than this. IMO, Miles could be the athletic department's newest icon. In the 60's, 70's and even 80's, Devaney was the face of athletics at Nebraska, not just football. After that, it's been Osborne. When you think of NU athletics today, what's the first name you think of? Who in the department best represents NU and the state of Nebraska? There is a void now that Osborne is gone. Miles has a chance to be that person. What do the rest of you think?
  20. Agree with Hooper. We're better when Benny comes off the bench.
  21. Love that locker room speech. The celebration and mood now is on the level of when we won the Big Eight tournament in '94. We didn't come down from that high in time for the Penn game a week later IMO. We've got more to do!
  22. Taking some press conference tips from Bo! haha.... I'm kidding of course, but that was pretty entertaining Wow. We'll there's a name for a guy like that. It's called Winner. Maybe he's from Winner SD, not Doland.
