It does sting. So much excitement this week. Now - just silence. I think there's some interesting things to follow in the off-season though: * How much of an impact does this year's success show up in recruiting? * How do Smith, Hammond, Fuller and Hawkins look when we play those games overseas? It's a good time to do some experimenting with the rotation. By the way, does anyone know anything about when/where we will be going?

Concerned? No. It wouldn't be the worst thing in the world if he did so. I'm not sold he will ever be a Big Ten type player we need. This year, he was absolute disappointing. It's hard to look at his game logs. Over hyped is putting it lightly. So no, not concerned. But I have heard rumors he wouldn't make it past this year.Let's tag this post a year from now. I predict it will look as wise as those bemoaning the demise of Shavon earlier this year. JMO.Please do! While we are at it please go back to the old site and post all my messages regarding Doc never amounting to much....which I was bashed for. Tai may turn out to be a capable player but I'm afraid he will never live up to the top 25 player many thought he was. Pin it!!! I've been wrong in the past, I would have bet my life savings on this team not winning 11 Big Ten games. Id be glad to be wrong again. But right now, Tai is a bad basketball player. I can go over the game logs with you if you want. You may cringe though. I'm not disputing he's in a slump. I just personally am not ready to throw him away. We have a year invested in him. He has a Big Ten frame. He can drive to the hoop. It doesn't matter if anyone let their expectations get out of control and thought he was going to be a top 25 player. He didn't need to be. He has to get better. I think he will develop. You think this is as good as he gets. We'll see.

NU - Baylor Postgame Conference

There has to be accountability. I hope the administration pursues every avenue to have the officials held accountable I'd rather they spend their time recruiting. Bad officiating happens. It tends to even out on a specific team's luck over time. -

Yep. Not much more to say. Just get to work on next year. -

I'm guessing TM will say "I let my team down today". Not saying he did, but that's what I think he might say. -

I feel bad for Rey and Mike. The other players have next year. This hurts for everyone though. -

Well. Let's just finish strong. The players don't seem distracted by Miles' ejection. -

Recipe for winning: Offense - pass the ball around the perimeter more often and quicker before shooting Defense - deny the ball from getting inside. -

Gotta do a better job of not allowing the ball to get inside in the first place. -

If nothing else, look at our history with early commits. There was Roburt Sallie, the McNeal kid from Arkansas, who else am I missing? All are different circumstances, but verbally committing a couple of years ahead of time should be taken with a grain of salt. Unless there is a very strong connection between the program and the recruit. I wouldn't be surprised at all either to eventually hear of a de-commit.

I've never cared for the term. It always felt to me like people who hated or poked fun of the program were the ones using it. To me, it's a phrase that is a product of the 16 year drought, though some here seem to indicate otherwise. As for nicknames, I do like "The Vault" for our new arena.

Suicide watch? Really? A little much. Not a joking matter. Very true....some of has to deal with suicide...my girlfriend for example committed suicide just over a year ago. I don't see much humor in the topic. This kind of talk is wearing thin on me as well. It's a game. It's silly to generalize about our fan base and other schools fan bases. Both schools have good people. It's just a few from both schools who are taking their fanaticism to a disfunctional level.

Well, Terran turned Miles down once at CSU. Obviously, coach was his 2nd option. So you never know. That just doesn't sound like how TM operates to me. He's all about relationships and no hard feelings, it seems to me.

How we lost and when we lost makes this feel a lot worse than normal to the average fan. Bottom line, we lost to the #24 on a neutral court by only 4 points. I think what gets us in is a 10-3 record down the stretch.

Selection Sunday watch party at Pinnacle Bank?
HuskerCager replied to colerfrederick's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
So if that happens, does everyone hang around for an NIT selection party? -
Just where my head as where my heart is right now - we get in and we don't have to do a play-in game.

Dang. That stinks. We just couldn't finish them off. My hats off to the Buckeyes. Delle Valla and Craft were money down the stretch. That said, we should be in the dance. Still a lot to be thankful for this year.
