maybe you missed the deal with his knee? he can and has made that shot, but he's been battling knee problems most of the season. It's rare that you completely heal up during the year, so maybe--again, maybe--it was a problem tonight. But he can make that shot regularly. He did last year. Nope I didn't. But he clearly is still struggling with it because he has had several bad shooting nights recently. He does a lot of good things for us and compared to the rest of the team deserves minutes. But we really really really really need him to "get healthy" and get right. He also struggled as the zone buster tonight turning the ball over several times.

No, we couldn't. I mean is it possible? Sure, but we could also win 29 games. We are not going to beat out Wisconsin. I mean heck, he are going to really struggle to finish 7th or 8th. I mean our next game is against Michigan in Ann Arbor, lets not start counting that as a win just yet. Its not like they are undefeated in the B1G or anything. I don't know why we always want to set ourselves up for disappointment.

Shavon has had real trouble with his mid range and long range shots recently (this season?). If he can't knock down the mid range shot he shouldn't be our "zone buster" who gets the ball at the top of the key in the middle of the key.

Crowd did well tonight. And we get to enjoy our winning streak for a another week.

I sense a little bit of sarcasm coming from the Pimpster. I figured I would preempt the threads proclaiming we could/should finish 3rd in the conference. But seriously we really need to win 1 of our next 2 road games.

Norm, this is a joke thread isn't it? You are just trolling right? I feel like the last two weeks all we have done on this board is have people say OMG we are going to the NCAAs and then have other posters say control your expectations. But if we are going to be completely unreasonable and ask for a miracle why not go really crazy!?!?! So I think we can win our remaining 11 conference games. That would give us a bye in the tournament. So we only have to go 3-0 in the conference tournament. That would put us at 24-9. So that means we probably can get a 4 seed, or maybe even a 3 seed. The funny part about that dream, is we would still probably lose to a 14 seed in the tournament.

For the love of all that is holy. Can we please just worry about Indiana and then try to get our FIRST (and maybe only) road win.

I think we can get to the dance, I just don't think we will. I looked at it and tried to find a way today and I just couldn't come up with a way. Even if we win the rest of our home games I just don't see the committee taking a team with 0 road wins. So we need to pick up a couple road wins. I just think maybe the NCAA talk is premature since we haven't won back to back conference games in years.

I am not talking about price (which is atrocious) or quality (which varies widely), but simply the speed of service is terrible. Absolutely horrible. The lower bowl is usually about 60% full to start the second half if we are lucky.

Biggs was a red-shirt junior correct? That means he is done with Division 1. He would have to sit out a year if he transferred and he only has 1 year left. So I guess technically he could go play on someones scout team.

Not hearing an announcement for any half time entertainment me and my wife decided that we would rush up to get food when halftime started. After Shields basket we booked it and go to the concession stand and were 3rd in line. It took them forever to help the people in front of us. When they got to us it was like they had to make every item fresh for us. TOOK forever. What a shocker, we order a hot dog and a pretzel. Long story short we go back to our seats with about 1:30 remaining before the start of the second half. I can see why a lot of people aren't in their seats. We need to do something about the start of the second half and helping people get back to their seats could help. Concessions were handled my more quickly at the Bob.

I loved him talking to Petteway before the OSU game, he said something like "are you ready to actually play a full 40 minutes? Are you ready to look for your teammates and not get down after you make a mistake?"

I meant in a win. You can win the game and still play like crap in one or all aspect of a game (see OSU and PSU for good examples). Your argument of judging the defense relative to our past performances is interesting, but I certainly wouldn't look at it that way. Eventually we have to start raising our expectations if we actually want this program to start being relevant.

This is very sad to me. I thought he brought a lot of intensity to the floor and it was good to get him coming off the bench. Makes you wonder if Agau will ever make it to Lincoln, and if we really want him?

We talked about fuller a little bit during the game. I hadn't heard much about him, I am glad to hear that some people think he is developing nicely. We are going to need some really good role/bench players next year if we want to take a step forward.

You cannot make the NCAA tournament without road wins (short of winning your conference tournament). It just cannot happen. We are 0-6 on the road and lost our most winnable road game, PSU and another very winnable game in Purdue. We need road wins! Road wins! Oh yeah, and we pretty much have to win the rest of our home games. The only game I think we have a good shot at winning on the road is Northwestern. After that we would have to pull of what would certainly be an upset in Illinois.

We need a point guard who can drive, dish, score, and basically lead the offensive sets. We also need an inside presence. We are missing the two most important players in basketball. A good big man, and good point guard.
