Most of their money comes from CBS/TBS/TNT/TruTV contract. Attendance money is gravy.

Looking pretty good. Just like last year against us. Whipping up on Iowa. -

Yes. We were. I think us and BYU were the only 5 seed at large teams. -

After the screw job they gave us last year, they should give us a home game this year. It was kind of like, "Nebraska's going to make the NCAA. Crap, they didn't make it. Let's give them road game." -

I know I was frustrated and let them go towards your post. I am actually on the fence with whether to keep Miles or let him go. So, I am content with whatever decision makes (unless we hire Ernie Kent) -

Maryland must have. We were only a + 10 today with him in the game. -

This is devastating. A perfect storm. A bunch of snow melting. A lot of rain, and frozen ground unable to soak the rain up. Everyone stay safe! -
I just wish Glynn and Palmer didn't go ice cold right after Copeland went down. That would have really helped. Now, those along with Roby, are carrying us. The trouble Wisconsin poses is they take care of the basketball. Maryland and Rutgers did not for the most part. We exploited that in our victories.

It seems the coaches don't know how good of a defensive player he is.?? -

How did Roby not get on the Big 10 All-Defensive team? He was the only player in the top 10 in steals and blocks. Anyway the team played hard on defense and attacked the rim. We struggled from the outside. Palmer had 22 free throw attempts alone. Rutgers had 11. Need to make the bunnies tomorrow to have a chance. I don't see us shooting 21 more free throws than Maryland. Heiman gave us a glimpse of what he is capable of in the future. Needs to spend all summer in the weight room. Rutgers was pushing him around a bunch. Kept alive for one more day. Kudos to the Gang of 8. Let's keep the ride going. -

Yep. Gomes, Palinsky, and Schwellenbach have no business being Division I baseball players. They don't meet Royals size specifications. DIbaseball ranked the class as 16th best in the country. But, hey what do they know? I am not a huge Erstad supporter. I think he should have been let go after last year. I also have high expectations for the baseball program. I think they need to win the Big 10 more than once in 8 years. They should have 3 or 4 titles by now, imo. They should for sure make the conference tournament every year. He did a good job with this recruiting class, and we will find out if that translates into wins.

I guess Fran doesn't care enough about defense to ever win big anywhere. Which is why I'm not in favor of getting an offensive minded coach. Like you said, Miller is new to Indiana. They has a lot more recent history of success. Don't get me wrong, Miles has his flaws. Player retention being the biggest one. He recruits well to make up for his lack of X's and O's. If he could just get those players to stay, he would have probably got us a W in the tournament.

Watson has his best shooting percentage of his career. Palmer, Petteway, and White were on the end of the bench with their previous teams. 2 out of the 3 ended up being All Conference. Here's a question if Miles is not a very good coach. How many coaches would you trade Miles for in the Big 10? No brainers are Izzo, Behlein, Painter. Probably trading are Gard, Turgeon, and Holtzman About the same are Miller, Fran, and Pikell Not trading him for Pitino, Chambers, Underwood, and Collins. This season really went downhill when Copeland got injured. I know we were struggling a little even with Copeland. But, I feel 2 or 3 wins were doable. Purdue, Ohio State, and maybe Illinois. That gets us 18 or 19 wins, and probably in the tournament. Here are some stats for everyone. With Copeland (against Power 6 teams) : FG % : 44.1 % 3 PT % : 34.6 % FT % : 74.8 % PPG : 72.2 Point margin : 3.6 RPG : 30.0 Reb margin : -5.0 Opp FG % : 42.8 % Opp 3 PT % : 31.7 % Opp FT % : 71.4 % PPG : 68.6 RPG : 35.0 Without Copeland (against Power 6 teams) : FG % : 38.3 % 3 PT % : 31.5 % FT % : 64.3 % PPG : 64.7 Point margin : -10.1 RPG : 33.3 Rebound margin : -5.1 Opp FG % : 45.8 % Opp 3 PT % : 39.3 % Opp FT % : 68.1 % PPG : 74.8 RPG : 38.4 I was probably just overreacting to a lousy season. I think Miles is a good coach. You don't think he is a good coach. I don't think either of us are going to change their mind. I just think our chance of landing a coach I would trade Miles for are slim. Maybe I'm not in the know, and coaches are lining up to take over a historically challenged team.

I say Watson punches Bohanan and see if it is a common foul. If you don't elbow him, it's not a flagrant 1. -

Actually, if you look from the camera above the backboard the ball is behind the backboard, meaning it was out of bounds, but mophead (pfifer) is a terrible ref. Garza needs to show a passport with all the traveling he does. -
Time to get greedy, and go for the sweep!! Keep getting pitching like this, we might have something this season. Shore up the defense and strikeouts will make this a really good team.

Let's finish it for him!!

Great job, Nate!!?
