  1. Can I get my payments in glazed? White powdered are nice too...
  2. I'd bet dollars to doughnuts that we will have an answer to this question by Monday...
  3. Looks like someones been in the Cough Syrup again...
  4. Think how many players we've had over the years, Jaron Boone, Venson Hamilton etc.,who were BIG time College players that didn't do squat in the Pros. TP certainly has a chance, I just don't think we should assume it's a given.
  5. Does that mean 98% of the league shouldn't be in the league? My point is he might NEVER be an NBA type player. Would one more year at NU improve his game enough to be a 1st round pick? The gap between a good college player and even a serviceable NBA player is immense. I wish nothing but the best for this young man.
  6. I'd take Dekker over White, otherwise you're spot on...
  7. Imagine TP gaurding Durant, Kobe, LeBron and then tell me what you think about him leaving for the NBA...
  8. This was a game we should've won and didn't. Hopefully we've got enough left in the tank to make a run in Chicago. Starts on Wed. Penn St. DEAD!
  9. Thoughts & prayers are with TP and his family. Selfishly would love to see him come back to NU, but I'm certain he'll make the right call either way...
  10. Fuller needs to go somewhere like UW-LaCrosse, and Webster just needs to go. That'll free us up to land some JUCO" Bigs" who can step in right away and play. Here's your chance young man to play B1G Basketball in front of a packed house at the Harvard of the Plains. Make the pitch Coach & make it happen, I'm too old to sit thru another season like this...
  11. No Dana Janssan from Northeast? No Bill Jackman? Just kidding, let's keep in mind there's not even 2 million people in the whole State of Nebraska. A Metro area like Mpls/St. Paul, which really isn't that big, has 3 million. It's a numbers thing more than a DNA thing or a "Something" in the water thing...
  12. Hey Aurora, we lost to the Huskies by 1 point my Senior year @ Aurora. That was always one of my favorite gyms to play in.... 83/84 school year
  13. I know Oklahoma and Georgia had them. I did not remember Minnesota at all, but I'm pretty sure Texas didn't. I used to know all the schools that had them, there were 8 schools that wore them IIRC. That's a picture of Bobby Jackson FYI. Led the Gophs to the '97 Final Four, then had all victories vacated due to academic fraud scandal. Thanks Clem! Oh, I too remember the Herbie in different attire. Hoops had him on the leg of the shorts spinning the Rock!
  14. I spent a summer in Champaign/Urbana, the "REAL" Twin Cities folks there will tell you. That arena is sweet, & as I'm sure you heard last night, they will be completely renovating the inside ASAP. AND they will always have Chicago right up the road...
  15. Rivers/Smith played some inspired Basketball which was nice to see. Couple of poor shots & turnovers cost us the game at the end. I've got a dumb hunch we win Sunday, so Ol' MO will be wearing a Red jersey when we hit Chicago!
  16. We use to have so many NIT banners hanging in the Devaney, it was often referred to as "the Apple Orchard". I like to think we'll have our "Dancin'" shoes on most years, and I have all the faith in the world that Miles will get this figured out. An alumni buddy of mine told Tim to his face that he's the best hire at Nebraska since T.O., I would agree. Plus the NIT doesn't have the cache' it once did since they've went away from the red, white, & blue basketballs, right?
  17. I use to like when our shorts had a little Herbie Husker on the leg spinning a Basketball...
  18. Didn't the Butthole Surfers have an album called "Crean Corn"?
  19. On a side note: Lee B. went to Superior which has NEVER been to the State Tournament. He knows bad basketball when he sees it.
  20. That article is a GIANT downer and only reminded me of how "good" we had it when Cipriano was around. Granted, there were no Tournament births, but we weren't taking the savage beatings that seem to come far too frequently.
  21. I'll go Clubber Lang on the bit and say "Pain".
  22. That looks like the old IFC office, where are you Jane Wade when I need you?
  23. Now, you know, the 1995-96 Nebrasketball team lost 9 straight games in conference toward the end of the season & then went out & played on the road for most of the N.I.T. & won the whole enchilada!? You never know... That was also the team with those seizure inducing Converse uniforms with those awful zig zags everywhere. Beat St. Joe's to win the Title. Ain't happenin' this year...
  24. This season can't end soon enough. Please no more talk of NITs, CBIs or any thing related to extending my misery...
