Other than Allen Field House, the "Barn" is one of the coolest venues I've ever been in. My first game there was MN vs. Purdue and the "Big Dawg" Glenn Robinson.
Can't forget the NIT Title game in '96 vs. St Joe's, also '86 we knocked off a ranked Sooner squad with Daryl Kennedy when Brian Carr hit a shot at the buzzer (I think)
As rough as that '91 loss was in the Tourney, I thought '94 to Penn was worse. Fresh off a Big 8 Tournament win and then lose to an Ivy League school? For shame...
I don't have a list right in front of me, but I would venture to guess the teams that finished 4th in the B1G and DIDN'T make the Dance is short if not non-existent.
Gophers have the look of a team that's playing out the string. We need to capitalize and rub their nose in it. Should win this one then take care of Rutgers at home...
I saw that SC game, Miner had 44 and we still won by 15. MSU was ranker 5th in the Country and we beat them at the buzzer. But yes, this team has a chance to be "Special" Let's win out and see how we fare in the B1G Tourney.
I know. I know the more the merrier. It just irks me (yes I'm petty) that MOST of us ride along with this team year in and year out regardless of their record. NOW they're winning and EVERYBODY'S a fan. Oh well, all you can say is Go Big Red!
Duby is basically a finished product. Roby has barely scratched the surface. Think of him shooting off the bounce, or scoring with his back to the basket.
Looks like a bunch of Football stuff (no surprise). I just can't wait til we make our Sweet 16 run and all the "casual" Huskers fans will be lookin' for a spot on the Bandwagon. I'll be more than happy to tell them to p*ss off, or at least ask them if they know who Stan Cloudy is.
