  1. If what I hear about the second team mopping the floor with the first team last year, I'll take my chances with the new kids on the block.
  2. We've got the best academic support program in the country. The grades shouldn't be a problem when he gets here.
  3. The kid has been in Indiana since the second grade. If he'd been in Broken Bow, you'd think NU would have been in on him long ago.
  4. I'm confident there are pick-up games galore happening in the Hendrick's Center all summer.
  5. https://twitter.com/RobinWashut/status/347711570287153153 Well, he will be, just not tonight. https://twitter.com/RobinWashut/status/347712315820490752
  6. Can I have your tickets? Already spoken for, sorry.
  7. is tainted really the word you want to use?
  8. As for the N on the building. It's a complete non issue for me. Put it up or don't, but the university is the only regular tenant of the building. The Clink has two. Most arenas in major cities have more than one, not a ton have logos on them, some do. Totally not a big deal one way or the other.
  9. Union Bank on the ribbon boards, University Federal Credit Union in the programs.
  10. Welp, guess I'll be missing the opener. I'll be in Michigan that weekend.
  11. Why? What I've heard about what Gillespie was doing there when he was there, every player with any sense would have left.
  12. To the best of my limited knowledge a verified twitter account just means that Twitter aknowledges that you are in fact that person on twitter (not a fake) and have a high enough status to deserve verified status. It's mostly celebrities, athletes, actors, musicians and such. There are a few people on my twitter feed that probably should be verified before Tai since he's just a HS kiwi basketball player and these people are on TV or successful comics or etc. How twitter decides who get verified and who doesn't is above my pay grade. Hope that didn't muddy it up too much for ya Norm. It could also be relative to his country. He could be a bigger deal in New Zealand than he would be in the states which might warrant such verification. Just speculating...
  13. Split off the Adidas vs. Nike drivel.
  14. I think you're smart enough to be able to answer that for yourself.
  15. Had a feeling one of these was coming: https://twitter.com/RobinWashut/status/347189526013300737
  16. Well, my tweet was the beginning of that conversation which was precipitated by Jason King casually dropping that juicy tidbit into the conversation between games during the CWS on 1620. https://twitter.com/dpm917/status/347121757221703680 Glad Robin tweeted that to hopefully calm the waters a bit. The thing that caught my attention during the interview was King mentioning something more a long the lines of a big time contract that they were hoping he doesn't sign. We'll see what comes of it, if anything. Hopefully nothing. Also, Sean Callahan said on the radio that Washut isn't concerned about whatever hurdles remain for Tai. Again, we'll see...
  17. Interview with Lindsey on Gaskin and Stephens the other day. http://theticketfm.com/index.php?option=com_podcastmanager&view=feed&feedname=2&format=raw
  18. ...yet... It won't be on the level of NU's when it's done. The AD said as much when they announced it. I'm sure it will be nice, though. No doubt. However, practice facilities only go so far in impressing a recruit. Performance usually ranks a lot higher. True, but having great facilities and playing in a power conference is a big draw too.

  20. 1620 gets their podcasts up very quickly, too. Sharp and Benning USC
  21. I believe you, but the DMV is in reference to the DC area.
  22. To me the DMV was in reference to DelMarVa. Delaware Maryland Virgina. No, it was definately DC. I follow a couple of DC sports teams, they all use it in terms of DC, Maryland and VA and with Georgetown being in DC... They may use it over there too, but Delaware and Virginia don't actually come in contact.
  23. Got a little bit of a public access feel to it. NU conversation starts at 16:21
  24. Not since the internet has become prevalent.
  25. Alright panic monkeys, if you caught Miles on Sports Nightly, you just heard him say they're still working on some eligibility issues with Tai. Said he's concerned, not panicking yet, but he is concerned. Discuss. Go.
