  1. Florida: less difficult schedule, but better Margin of Victory. You can't afford to get blown out late in games; you've got to put the lesser opponents to the sword.
  2. On the one hand, yes, he wasn't ready to be a major contributor at a high level major college program. On the other hand, no, because he was never going to be a major contributor at a high level major program. (Which leads me to think that when he was so impressive as a 14 year old high school freshman, that he wasn't really 14 years old, but that's neither here nor there. It's just that I wouldn't ever trust foreign birth certificates.) Decent enough career I guess, but it would have been interesting if the 2020 tournament had not been cancelled because they were looking like a final four team, he could have maybe matched up for a while against Jordy because Dayton was looking like a final four team as well.
  3. Yep, they're going to win the whole f*ckin thing
  4. There is a 100% correlation in the last 25 years between coaches who have gotten an extension here, and coaches who have been fired. I don't see how it even could help recruiting at this point.
  5. Last chance for 27 year old Aguek Arop to extract his vengeance for that prep school suggestion
  6. Expectations: 28-6, 15-5 in conference, 6 seed in NIT
  7. The knee pads were all the rage for 6'8" guys in 1964. I think Lauer went to NU for his freshman year but then transferred to Kearney State; Nebraska's 20-5 team in 1966 could have used a 6'8" guy. On your second point, I'm pretty sure that wasn't a one foot jumper. Whatever newspaper that was doctored the photograph to add the lane and the basket so that the readers would know that this was from a basketball game, or something. That was probably a shot from outside 20', I think Lauer liked to play on the perimeter. Just another bit of fake news from the lying media.
  8. The Big Ten is the only place where he can experience what his grandfather did in this picture, that is to try to defend someone who is 8 inches taller than him.
  9. The Harvard of the Plains beckons
  10. Mack probably would transition fairly well into a DW-type role next year. So would this guy:
  11. I was thinking the exact same thing.
  12. If Wofford would have had a Japanese 3 point shooter that Mack ran some two-man plays with we'd have a better comparison.
  13. He needs to grow the hair a little more. And he'll only be 23 next season. Also, I have no idea if he wants to start a trucking company.
  14. I'm guessing that you don't end "my favorite Sophomore since _____" with Joe McCray...
  15. If Nebraska were to win five games in five days, the NCAA would reward them by sending them to Dayton on Tuesday.
  16. So, it would be advantageous to play a couple of teams ranked below 300, and just go out and beat them by 60 points each. Force the tempo, press the hell out of them even if that's not what you normally do, play your starters longer than necessary, just run up the score as much as you can.
  17. Kelly Pfeiffer doesn't exactly have a history of making 50-50 calls go Nebraska's way 50% of the time - I'd say the stare down didn't work in the long run.
  18. If you are undefeated against teams ranked lower than you, and have won 8 games against teams higher than you...the rating system is getting something wrong.
  19. It happens; I can even remember seeing one of Jerry Eickhoff's teams lose for the third time to the same opponent in 1982. Nebraska has beat the same team three times on at least 15 occasions in the last 75 years. That's not going back to the twenties, when for example in 1920 they beat Morningside 4 times. They only beat KU three times in a season once; and, it was Joe Cipriano's worst team, Jerry Fort's freshman year in 1973 when they went 9-17. Year Date Schl Rk. H/A Opp Rk. 20. Let's hope he's just a Creighton fan and not dead. Or better yet, a dead Cr.... (OK, I better not go there.)
  21. He hasn't logged in since December 3. Possibly something bad happened to him.
  22. If they get DeVries they take a big jump up on the Douche Meter.
  23. I drank a whole bottle of Hawkesey one night, I thought it was pretty good until I saw where it was from
