I am old enough to remember this team that had the misfortune of being in the era when only one team from a conference went to the dance...and we lived with Kansas...We were in the top 10 during March...but no tourney. In today's format this team would have a puncher's chance of winning it all...This was the infamous year when Texas- El Paso (Western) broke the color barrier... Everybody recalls they beat the all white Kentucky team...BUT... that was after they beat Kansas by 1 point in 2 OTs in the quarterfinals! We split a home and home with Kansas that year. This team could'a would'a made a serious run at history!

Actually, I think we would...as Miles appears to like athletic 6'6" to 6'10" long armed slashers who can go to the bucket, shoot a jumper and defend. Shavon fits that bill for me.

Problem is, a lot of times we discuss a recruit that we think we have a good shot at for months and then one day it is announced suddenly that they are visiting. I agree. Like I said, I'm just getting antsy for that next commit. OK Norm, I feel like I am psychoanalyzing you a bit today... But you are living in a Kamdy world where we are all 21 and "this board (is) like you're at a bar when you were in college. You talked to a bunch of girls (each recruit posted) but by the end of the night there was only one, maybe two if you were lucky, that you ended up with....(Well) This is just our version of the bar. We can get excited, upset, frustrated etc about each one just like we all did when we were young with the ladies." The difference is in your wonderful wishful world you would have, let's say 3 "new commits" in a week...and (if you were fortunate) one or more of them may have given you a special release 3 or more times in an evening...(and perhaps she returned for repeat performances thereafter) Unfortunately, this recruiting world gives us about 3 releases a year (no repeats)....not as bad as a Black Widow Spider...but it takes some discipline and getting used to...and Miles to go before I sleep!

Go to a grocery store and get 15 or 20 feet of butcher paper...they will probably give it to you if you are nice...or if you promise to stick their emblem on the thing!

Well, you could have Dimes pin all the official visitors at the top..then you could just pay attention to those that are pinned and ignore the rest. Yeah, like that's how you got over 11k posts...by only paying attention to the really vital stuff!

When you have a team and a coach that exceeds all their most FANatical supporters expectations... It has been a good season. Let's extend it.

Yup, better than the black unis! Since the blacks are 0h-for-ever in the win column...if you believe in jinxes...the blacks need to be packed in a secure metal box, locked and loaded within along with heavy metal weights, boarded on a craft cruising over the Mariana Trench and jettisoned once the craft reaches the deepest point of the trench. Yet, if you agree with Cookie's view...the blacks do look cool...(I still wear my black leather cap that went with the old blacks from the Nee era)... But if we do pull some blacks out in the future...then for God's sake, wait until next year and make it against the Sisters of the Poor, so we can win one in them to remove some of the stench! We are 3-8 wearing red uniforms this season. What should we do with those? Wear them at home. And wash them after every game.

I sure hope we end up rated WAY better than this or we will not make the dance,,, Please recall all the auto qualifiers from conference tournaments. You typically need to be under #50 if you want to be dancing with a wildcard spot!

Especially if they are all in the B1G tournament.
