I was stunned when I first saw this reported, but then read a couple of articles/columns that went deeper. Given the cess pool that college basketball recruiting has become and the transfer portal creating the need to manage rosters on a 24/7/365 basis with no guarantees, it starts to make more sense. Yep. Gives Coach Hoiberg more flexibility to bring in guys he wants and who want to be here with him.

Just had to chime in - the excitement and enthusiasm I have for this hire is truly off the charts! I cannot wait to see where Coach Hoiberg takes this program and while I've seen a lot of criticism of Bill Moos, he has done exactly what he needed to do. I could not be happier that he was the guy in charge.

It's a long story but they caught 1 of them - he's now residing in Lincoln for the next 35 years (he had been in and out of prison several times in the past). We don't know who the 2nd one was but think they were brothers. No way to know for sure.

I wouldn't know where to begin to do that @cipsucks but I do appreciate the sentiment. If one of the mods wants to move it (so I don't screw up this thread), that would be more than fine. Otherwise, I just wanted to share the story - if anyone can appreciate the good/bad analogy, it's those on this board.
