  1. Likely my last time posting anything until next season but a couple of final thoughts: I like the players on the team - as individuals. There are some good players, they seem to be good guys, don’t cause trouble, etc. But as unpopular as this might be, as a team this group was not all that likeable. The lack of leadership, the lack of consistent effort, the lack of basketball IQ at some of the worst times - this team was not fun to watch once the calendar hit January. If it were up to me, I would decline an NIT or any other postseason invite. I guess I would understand a cash grab for NIL but beyond that, it would serve no purpose in program development. I can’t imagine many people caring enough to attend or even watch, me included. As for HCFH, I’ve reached the point of not caring one way or the other. I would be somewhat surprised if he gets fired, but whatever happens, happens.
  2. I agree. IMO the players know (or should) by this point in the season what they need to do to win every time they step on the court. Unfortunately, they don’t seem to consistently own that responsibility. If it requires FH to light the fire, consistently performing well is simply not sustainable. Again, it was a great comeback and I’m very happy for the win. Don’t want to take away from that - but man, this team is mind boggling sometimes.
  3. Team showed a lot of guts to make that comeback and I’m very happy with the win, regardless of how it came about. I do struggle to understand how a team with this level of experience requires the head coach to jump their a**es at halftime and break his hand on a whiteboard in order to get the fire lit.
  4. Happy Birthday! My gift would be the advice to turn it off & do something more enjoyable. Kinda like it appears this team wants to do.
  5. We HAVE to find someone other than Brice who can hit a jump shot consistently.
  6. There is no world where JG taking a 3 is the best option to stop an opponent run.
  7. I did the same @jimmykc so you don't own the entire jinx - it's on me as well. After the 1st half, I didn't think there was any chance of a win. I've seen a few posts about our defense but I don't think it was completely terrible before the break. I can think of at least 2 situations where Connor was exactly where he should have been, hands up and in the face of the shooter. Yet, the prayer 3 went in. No one could have defended those any better. I have been doing a lot of thinking about our defensive approach and while I don't love it, the difference in closeouts from an open shot to a contested shot is often inches. Inches usually means just a little extra effort. Great comeback win by the fellas - gotta keep grinding. There's no margin for error now.
  8. Obviously a solid & much needed win. Really hard to figure out how the defense can look so much better these past 2 games vs. the previous 4-6. The rotations, the hard doubles & then closeouts on 3pt shooters…I mean, I don’t think Oregon is a great team, but we made life pretty difficult for them. Why does it seem so night/day different?
  9. Quality move by Bryce M. to wear the old school letterman’s jacket to the game. Major props!
  10. Thanks be to the Almighty - the court at Oregon still isn’t great, but it is LIGHT YEARS better than it was.
  11. Well, at least we can make a little money now by fading NU for the balance of the season (especially on the road).
  12. Just put the scrubs in. If the team can quit, I can too. Never thought I’d say this but thank goodness baseball is right around the corner.
  13. I wish it were otherwise but this team is broken until proven otherwise… USC 75 Nebraska 69
