  1. Okay. I'm slightly calmed
  2. Good start to the season now let's have a good 2nd half. Everyone is contributing. Awesome.
  3. With covid running around I don't know if you can have enough depth?
  4. This kind of craps on my season winning % picks. I expected some experience post depth which is now diluted a bit. I think the NCAA screwed Nebraska a bit. I would of thought they could of made this ruling a long time ago. Nebraska probably would of done their vetting of rotations differently if they got this news more timely. My opinion of the NCAA continues to go down.
  5. Here is video of McNeese state (in white) from last year. They need a gum guy to stick to Kuxhausen. I think for this game they need to deviate from a pack line defense and man up.
  6. https://mcneesesports.com/documents/2020/11/23//20_21MBB_Game1Notes.pdf?id=5566 Looks like they have 3 or 4 good guards. 2 they start and a sharpshooter off the bench. Their best shooter is from Nebraska and had the best 3 pt % in the country last year as a starter. He's not real tall so that will help. Looks like they have a new PF that will help their rebounding. He looks like he can score a little too. The strength of their team is the guards though, they look a bit thin at the post as far as experience scoring&rebounding. I think to start this game Nebraska should go with the big lineup and start from there.
  7. Nebraska 85 McNeese St 68 Noncon 85% overall 60%
  8. Thanks for posting that Miller. That was awesome. Coach Hoiberg did a really good job with that zoom and answering questions. I love when he talks nuts&bolts with the .5 and 4 pt line etc in the play breakdown. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
  9. I know the plan for Trevor Lakes was to redshirt and contribute next year but since this is a 'free' year for seniors I wonder if we will see him in specific end of half/game situations where we would want to put all of our shooters out there. Just a thought. Thor was our leading 3 pt shooter last year at 37.2% Now we have... Top 5 -------------- Webster 41% Lakes 41% Mayen 38% Stevenson 37.5% Thor 37.2% On the cusp of top 5.... Allen 37% Now this is a new year and new competition but I think we can get a good end of game 3pt lineup out there and we might want to leave Allen in there as he can create but 41% is hard to leave on the bench. I guess like horse though he has to prove it.
  10. I believe he was a boxer.
  11. Thank you for the response. (I missed or failed to recall your Webster tidbit so forgive me for that.) Elijah tied for 2nd in scoring for White? Nice! Love to hear freshmen doing well. Again appreciate the feedback.
  12. I'm sure it will be on Radio as it's a game. Since their are no fans allowed and if the B1G permits it they should at the least stream it free or let NET televise it.
  13. They have some partial video of the scrimmage on the husker hoop twitter or husker facebook. https://twitter.com/HuskerHoops/status/1328745966162219009/video/1 I'm going to guess they started the small lineup and rotated Walker in. I'm going to guess Lat was the 2nd high scorer after Allen and Trey was third highest for Red. I'm going to guess that Webster led the scoring for White followed by Stevenson. To those who have seen the boxscore am I right?
  14. Enjoyed the pressers today. Can't wait for the 25th.
  15. I have not seen Andre live. The only thing we have to judge is a few clips. Meanwhile as HHCmatt pointed out, you have Walker and Lat also competing for minutes. How do we know Andre is the main competition for Yvan? It might be Walker. We've had some impressive gains by redshirts in recent years. We have had good reports about last year's scout squad which includes Walker. Plus we don't know how many minutes Lat is going to get if we go small. I also think the single season rebounding record for freshmen is no small feat and I would be somewhat surprised if Yvan didn't get around the same time as he did as a freshmen. From what we have seen he's slimmed a bit and looks more explosive off the floor. I am excited to see his progress. I am thrilled we have Andre. I have no idea what his impact will be. I do think we have good depth at the post now and minutes will be hard to come by. I am not going out on a limb with Andre because I don't think I have to.
  16. Okay I'll bite. Yvan has 30 starts under his belt and averaged 21.3 minutes a game. He average 6.3 rebounds a game as a freshmen Nebraska Single-Season Freshman Rebounding Record (203) Nebraska Single-Game Freshman Rebounding Record (19 vs. Northwestern) Nebraska Single-Season Freshman Record for Double-Doubles (3, tied)
  17. He's number 5 in white in the game above. Our freshmen class can really shoot and stretch the floor.
  18. Love that! Our best team ever was a team that shared the ball.
  19. Personally I think he's a Reggie Miller type. IMO he would be most effective as a SG or W. I don't think he's a PG. He could probably play PG in a pinch but I think that would hurt his scoring.
  20. Welcome Bryce.
  21. Opens the door for a medical hardship
  22. Bryce McGowens is a good player and I hope he signs with us. I also hope people don't put too much on the kid.
  23. Ah. Good to know. 2nd time I imparted misleading info, keep me away from the keyboard. The only thing I got right in that post is that the wall is red and white. That's very very sad. .....It is red right?
  24. Good grief. Your right. My eyes are getting old. Thanks.
