JMO, but I think Baylor would have been a better fit on previous Hoiberg teams. I think his game is better suited to Creighton's style of play and Sam's game is better aligned with what we are doing this year. Good to see both of them having success.

I'm loving the Walker love fest, but to your point, he is literally a 'grown ass man'. The dude is 25. Those extra years of experience he has over his opponents works in his favor and he's taking advantage of it. This is not a knock, just saying that it shouldn't be that much of a surprise to folks that he is having the kind of success he had last season and so far this season. So as Norm said, let's enjoy him while we got him.

I don't think you will have to worry about offensive fouls from DW when he is in the post as he isn't really banging on his defender. It's a subtle nudge into the chest that's hardly noticeable and he seems to have perfected it. But you are correct, keeping him out of foul trouble will be big the rest of the season.

Not a jab Norm, but your original take on DW was similar to the reactions from fans when we took Petteway and Palmer. He certainly has turned into a nice player.

The ref did make the kicking motion but it looked like he also motioned to the scorers table the number of a player making it appear he was calling a foul. Go figure?

I think the offensive skill set has always been there (saw glimpses of his expanded game last season) but his role last season was to shoot the 3. He's savvy with the ball in his hands and his movement without the ball makes him hard to guard. His defense has taken a noticeable step up especially the last couple of games. IMO, his main issue on defense besides being undersized and not overly athletic boiled down to want to. I saw someone who wanted to defend last night. Hopefully this continues going forward.

Saw that he hadn't played in the first two games and was wondering what was up. Really wish he was wearing scarlet and cream.

One thing Fred has been able to do since he has been here is get our shooters open looks from 3, so that shouldn't be an issue. Having those shooters make the open shot...that has been a different story.

At least one thing was settled last night. For those who doubted, C.J. Wilcher can dunk.

I agree, especially if we were still recruiting without being able to offer a NIL package. Maybe NIL gets us some higher profile players going forward, but I would hope getting in early on a kid and establishing a relationship will still be valued in the future and not just how much $$ they will get.

How about Jamison Battle with more guard skills?
