Hawkins carries the ball worse than almost anyone I've seen in basketball. Makes it a tad easier to get by guys. -
And this is why this site was started and why we are all here.

In the moment I thought Mast should have taken the shot, but watching this he made the right decision as Shannon was probably going to block it. As to the non-call... -
I’m curious. Comparing 3 squads from last 10 years

By this logic, Larry Bird was not a true basketball player either. Shields turned out to be a better player than most fans thought he would be. Underrated in my opinion. -

I'm currently in Japan and I was told that the NU-PU game was rebroadcast here. I don't know if it was nationwide or not, but it was apparently a big deal, obviously due to KT. Glad everyone back home got to enjoy a great win. GBR! -

It was the right move for Roby to go pro when he did, but it would have been interesting to see how the season would have played out if he had stayed for his senior year.

What if they stole the inbounds pass and hit a 3, maybe burning 5 seconds? There down 4. Pressure us again into another turnover and score again and it's a one possession game with maybe 8-10 seconds left. We've all seen crazy stuff like this happen over the years so again, I was stunned when he just told his players to back off with so much time on the clock. Glad he did, but wasn't something I was expecting. I'm pretty sure if the situation was reversed and we were down seven and let the clock run out with 22 seconds left, fans would have been pissed. On to K-State. -

I get it, especially when the outcome is no longer in doubt, but that wasn't the case here. If I'm a player for MSU, I'm like Coach, WTF?? -

Very good win against a talented team with solid contributions from most who played. Glad that Diop and Rice played meaningful minutes and I hope that HCFH continues to find ways to get them on the court. I am a little surprised that there hasn't been more made of Izzo's decision to not try to extend the game with a 7 point deficit with just over 20 seconds on the clock. I was stunned he did this as there was plenty of time to try for a steal and at a minimum put us at the line at least one more time if they didn't force a turnover. Was rather strange IMO. -

Can't take the lid off when you're sitting on the bench. -
Not his fault. Just doing what he's been asked to do.

Creighton (5-1) vs. Nebraska (7-0) Game Thread

Mast was answering a question regarding Nebraska's depth and he mentioned that Eli could have a big game sometime this season. Basically saying that there are guys that haven't been playing as much lately that are capable of having a big impact. -
I didn't see the game but according to the radio broadcast his airballs were short. Short from way behind the arc I've seen even from good shooters, but he is right at the line which leads me to believe that he's thinking about the shot and aiming it. As far as hitting the side of the backboard, heck, Wilcher has done that a few times since he's been here, which is more distressing since he is a good shooter (streaky but a good stroke).

Well, they were looking pretty good. Currently wetting themselves.

Minnesota is improved. Looking pretty good against Missouri.

KT certainly plays with a lot of emotion and no one is saying that he should dial that back, but I have heard Fred say that he hates the gestures that players make in the game today (i.e. - flexing, too small, shooting arrows, etc.). Love the passion, not the showmanship.

I think KT's teammates certainly know what kind of a threat he is on offense. I just hope that KT understands that he has a lot of help on that end and doesn't need to try and carry the team. -
I like what I've seen so far from the new guys and the way they handle themselves on the court. Very businesslike but there is some fire there as well. The entire team appears to be that way which I like. Regarding KT, I don't care for the antics either but it is a part of the game right now unfortunately. Heck, I recall Walker flexing on a few occasions last season and even Griesel did the 'too small' sign after a make. No need for that IMO.

I remember Fort Hays St. was in town and they had a transfer on their roster from Kansas St. who was supposed to be pretty good (if I recall correctly he was around 6'6" and athletic). Bart pretty much did what he wanted against him on the offensive end. Certainly a talented player.
