  1. He actually shot 38% from three in conference games to so the three point threat might be there. He looks to have a pretty good set shot from three point land. Love that baby hook flick he has in the post also
  2. Solid on ball defense and boxing out abilities will trump shot blocking any day of the week in my book. No clue if he brings those to the table but it’s august 8th guys. Just getting a guy that can give us some valuable minutes is worth the scholly. I’d probably take back mcveigh at this point
  3. If he can grow another 3 to 4 inches we might have something. Looks good in the open floor w the ball but his post play won’t translate at his height
  4. 6’5” power forward....hopefully he can shoot the Rock
  5. This could open the door to some potential super small lineups w cope or roby at center then palmer or nana at the 4. Don’t know how crazy miles wants to get but to me 8 mins a game like that in maybe a 1 3 1 could swing a game here or there. Really wish Arop was already on campus now
  6. It’s not necessarily a who is better argument it’s a who is better in the role that we need arguement. Both roby n cope do what heiman is hopefully going to be able to do but they do it way better. We need the little things from our back up posts. I give you the videos I’ve seen from heiman are encouraging but a redshirt year equaling a 5th year senior is just to appealing in my mind to pass up if miles plans to be here for the long haul.
  7. For this season it’s borchardt by a mile over Heiman. Heiman has good potential down the road. As long as borchardt isn’t asked to play more then 10-15 minutes he will be fine. Plus he actually plays really solid post defense and for those that watch for it almost always boxed someone out last year when on the floor. Two very solid areas that this team struggles w. We definitely need a juco or grad guy 6’8” or taller as another option however. Anyone know if we have been in contact w anyone not committed yet?
  8. Good stuff Jacob. I enjoyed your insight on AM 590 yesterday afternoon as well
  9. I wonder what type of players we will look at with 4-6 open scholarships available. Couple posts? A PG? Then just best wing type guys we can get?
  10. Must play a low level of basketball in Kansas to be able to shoot like that w what appears to be atleast average athletic ability and for us to be his biggest offer. Maybe we will be able to steal this one cuz he sure looks like he can play some ball
  11. He’s going to be palmer level good next year I think. He’s got some Evan Taylor in him when it comes to grit too. I think it’s that smaller school transfer chip on his shoulder
  12. Get a transfer every year and take anyone who is division one talent in our own back yard. Other then maybe having another stretch 4 I’m pretty happy w the make up of the current roster. I think burke is big time in 2 years too
  13. Watson and palmer and roby are probably 1 n 2 n 3 as Watson had been here for the valleys and the peaks n if we get this rolling we will probably look back at palmer and roby as the reason why
  14. Wouldn’t hate if Davis had to take a redshirt year to get academically eligible. If he was willing to stay for it. Mt verde kinda screwed him? Or is this an issue from when he was in St. Louis?
  15. Make the semis of big ten tourney. Be better than a number 10 seed in the NCAA tournament. Win a game in the NCAA tourney
  16. Justin Jackson, bates-diop, Carr all landed in pretty good spots but likely left some money on the table by not coming back for another year. nice to see our guys got good information and will hopefully make the most outta it because palmer n cope woulda went undrafted for sure it looks like. It will be so crazy if next year at this time time we are talking about 3 huskers being drafted or even making nba teams, would be great for recruiting
  17. I’d rather see heiman get 5 minutes every 3rd game then see those minutes go to jack n I’m of the impressive heiman isn’t close to being ready to play...
  18. I can respect that. Thanks for giving out what information you do.
  19. Care to toss out a name on that big? And I wonder why they wouldn’t even gauge the kids interest. Look how fast things moved w Harris
  20. Ya originally from Ukraine then he has played in Florida, Virginia, and mass. The last three years I saw somewhere
  21. Would be a real cherry on top of a fantastic offseason if we could land a guy like this for the last scholarship. His best offers are from the likes of Arkansas and Illinois and 24/7 has him as a top 400 prospect. Looks like he has bounced around some during his high school career could be a reason for not having more exposure?
  22. Agreed as I do not want Lyle or any gaurd for that matter. Ideally we find another Copeland in the palmer mold of sitting one and playing two but how many times can miles strike gold w transfers? my worry is a mute point if somehow roby comes back for his senior year, although that likely means this year doesn’t go how we want it. i have seen nothing of us actively going after another big guy w that last scholarship unless you count Chang as a big guy and who knows if that interest is even mutual
  23. Why put everything into one year if we are just gonna go down the drain the next year, what we have now should be able to get the job done weather it’s jordy improving or someone emerging at the 2 gaurd. Go get someone who’s a future contributor w that 13 scholarship.
  24. W the talent and the perceived coaching chops of Gates when it comes to shooting I would be shocked if we don’t have 5 or 6 guys shooting over 35 percent from 3 point land. W roby,Copeland,Allen all approaching 38+ percent. I am hopeful we can keep up the team free throw percentage from last year as well, having all the regulars aside from jordy shooting in the 70s last year was such a luxury
