  1. The pinnacle is gonna love “captain morgan”
  2. Wish she was closer to 6 foot but looks like she can shoot it as well as having some off the bounce game.
  3. ID still love to land him as a bench player this year and as a starter next year. I don’t think whatever the Rutgers system was last year did him any favors. Feels like their players had to feel the same way too with the transfers they had on top of what they are bringing in they might of returned the best team in the B10 next year.
  4. hopefully it’s a wash,. You had to watch allick in person to appreciate what he brought to the table. Literally unteachable the effort and passion he brought to the court every time he stepped foot on it.
  5. Saw two of Oregon states best players are now in the portal, real bummer there as they coulda been legit title contenders next year I think
  6. Totally different skill sets, Payne is a primary low block player while Walker excelled at being out on the perimeter being the pivot point of the offense. I could be totally wrong on how I see Payne but many of the comments you see from gopher fans prior to him entering the transfer portal was how poor of passer he was out of double teams. To me that doesn’t lend itself to being the pivot point of our offense.
  7. I’m with you ideally Morgan is the first big off the bench. Playing 20-25 minutes a game. Reink is def more skilled and probably a better shooter, Morgan is a better athlete and hopefully a better rebounder/post defender. im all in on Kyle with the rest of you but I really struggle to see how Payne would fit into our offense
  8. When Rutgers came to Lincoln he was the one guy who you thought “huh he can put up some points” needs to find a weight room but had plenty of length to be a problem in our defense. I to am hopeful we can sell him on a big roll off the bench this year and a chance to start next year.
  9. I don’t think I like the idea of him playing perimeter defense on stretch 4s but Morgan is more athletic than some on here are giving him credit for
  10. Doesn’t Omaha profile as a 3 just as much as he does a 4? I think there would be minutes for all of them it’s just Kyle has quite the list of suitors
  11. Omaha would make a real nice understudy too Gary for a year
  12. Morgan was in the 40s this morning ON3 and fidler was in the 20s. Fidler and Morgan both have “crystal ball” or whatever the ON3 version is to Nebraska for what that’s worth
  13. I think Kyle can play the 4 defensively and offensively as long as our 5 can shoot. I have zero faith in Payne at the 4 defensively and well I don’t think much of his offensive game either lol. Maybe I’m viewing Kyle incorrectly though.
  14. I might be in the minority but I don’t think we want Payne. Doesn’t fit our system at all, can’t shoot from the field or FT line and doesn’t have post moves aside from being really big and athletic. Does that change with a different coaching staff? Maybe but I wouldn’t bank on it give me Morgan, Kyle, and a freshman or sophomore big then we got our work cut out for us at the guard position yet
  15. I can’t imagine who wants to be a college coach these days
  16. I do not believe tampering is a thing. No way to police it. What id be more interested in is how many players never receive whatever NIL they were promised
  17. Someone had to approach him with a bigger NIL offer right?
  18. I’d be kinda shocked if he lands on a more prominent team than Illinois but then again what do I know.
  19. Just reading through ISU Fans comments and watching Diop this year I think I’d rather have Diop. He’s 3 inches taller, I don’t feel there’s any concerns about his hands or his shooting for a 5 guy. It’s just about getting him in the weight room and more experience. The thing about Omaha is that he’s unlikely to start for us IMO So why come be the 3rd or 4th guy off our bench when it sounds like the main thing he needs is on court time. He should transfer down for atleast a year IMO
  20. This guys floater/pull up in the high paint game may be more impressive than his 73 made 3s last year. Not sure if athletically he helps us get quicker on defense though
  21. Man I hope the inter webs are with a shit for once.
  22. Do we have a chance the second time around and would he even start for us at the 3 or the 4 as I’m guessing he’s not looking to be a bench player after barely playing this last year in Ames
  23. They need to simply make all scholarships/NIL agreements a two year deal for both the player and the school with the exception of your coach leaves/quits everything resets. 2 year agreements give both party’s some stability, doesn’t necessarily allow schools to throw crazy money at everyone and anyone because they have to pay it back to back years, and still gives the players a chance to move on halfway through their college careers if they want.
  24. He was on campus a lot as a recruit and we made his final four schools at that time. So maybe there’s a chance with us having minutes open at the 4
