2021 SG Hunter Sallis ->Gonzaga->Wake Forest
Nebrasketball1979 replied to AuroranHusker's topic in Husker Hoops Recruiting
It's certainly not a coincidence that both players are on the same trip. It looks like Kansas has significant interest in both and may be positioning themselves for a package deal and hoping that they peer recruit each other if they don't have higher end recruits in their pipeline. -
I hate to tell you but there are a minimum of 3 games left this season so you're better off burying your head in the sand for roughly another week and a half and then coming up for air say around next Thursday morning! Was anyone at the game yesterday and can anyone confirm that campus security ushered all of the women and children out at halftime?

Seven random thoughts: 1) We beat Iowa, think how crappy they still must feel about that. 2) No one has asked the question just how bad at basketball is Northwestern? Ok, so they beat us. Who cares. We set the modern day record for free throw misery, turned the ball over 21 times, missed 20 shots within 3 feet and still almost beat them. I am sorry, but Northwestern is awful at basketball and if there was ever a game to give a loss to each team, this would be it. 3). We beat Iowa. That should drop them to a five seed in the NIT. 4). I would have killed for an 8 out of 30 success rate with the women in high school. 5). We beat Iowa. I hope Fran still loses sleep over it. 6). One well timed 11 game winning streak at the end of the season and we are National Champions. 7). We beat Iowa, they suck.

After having a few drinks this afternoon and tonight, I came to two stunning revelations. 1) NyQuil tastes better the more you drink. I highly recommend mixing the cherry NyQuil with bourbon. 2) This thought is likely influenced by the above but we will look back and laugh at this loss when we win five game in five days in Chicago.

I love the fact that we've continued to spill the proverbial glass over and over again but your glass is still very much half full. Well done my friend!!! -
2020 G Transfer - Kobe King - Signed

The kid seems talented and I can certainly be on board considering who else was recruiting him according to Robin Washut....Gonzaga, Xavier, UNLV. That's a pretty impressive short list. Some concerns...At 67% from the line, he would be one of our better free throw shooters this year. Sigh. He also shot only 25% from three year year. Sigh again. BUT, hopefully he can finish better than 40% of his shots within 3 feet because it feels like we are that horrible at layups this year even though I do not have the empirical data to back that up! -

I am certain someone will transfer. How do I know this? I can see the future. I have been hesitant to share this with the board but I feel like the time is now. And, for a limited time only, I will tell you your future if you send me $19.99 to a nondescript PO box. Send me a DM and I'll get you all the details! PS. I've intentionally missed my game picks this year to not give away my secret but it's no coincidence that I took home the non-existent first place prize last year in my first full year participating in the pick em contest.

My recommendation for the young man would be to find a college that limits its basketball roster to 5 players or find a college that is looking to start a team from scratch so he can be their first and only player.

Whew, good thing McVeigh isn't on the team as he'd be killing us from the free throw line. Wait, would his percentage help or hurt our average!?!?
