  1. Nice work, Bugs. From my freshman year in high school..... IT was cool then to just say "BTO". Of course, it was also cool to say "PBR"
  2. 8-0 good guys. Takin' care of business. Cue it up, Bugeater!
  3. Hard to process that, Jimmy. I remember Fang well from the Old Ameritas Classic days. Good guy.
  4. Just curious for your opinion on where Jeriah Horne plays and more importantly who he is gonna take minutes from? My opinion on him not redshirting is more about guys not redshirting, not because I think he's going to play a ton of minutes. Have to think he's in the SF-PF rotation with guys like White, Jacobson, McVeigh, and Fuller. Not sure if Roby is in that type of rotation or if he's with the guards. Also depends on who else we might sign or lose, obviously. Good point on Roby. I see him more likely to get backup point gaurd minutes than Bakari. But i think the two gaurd spot minutes will be locked down by Webster, Watson, and Gill as I see them each getting 25+ minutes. I am excited for the competition for minutes next season. Assuming Gill is the real deal, Webster is going to be huge next year as the backup for both him and Watson and you know that you can get good production out of him off the bench after this year. Bakari has to be ready next year because you're an injury away from being in big trouble and it would be great if he was able to earn more PT. Interesting comments by Miles on his show last night about both new and returning guys. He said Bakari could redshirt, or could get minutes at point. He said the area he has struggled the most with is defense (But as Norm points out, he was 1-14 on 3s, and the misses looked flat-out ugly. If he struggles more on defense than that, I I have trouble thinking he will ever make it. But the comments from Miles suggested he will be back). Webster may see more minutes at the point. Miles said Gill is a much better athlete than anyone we have going north and south, and should help us a lot in transition, where we have struggled. Isn't as athletic as Tai is laterally, but can get to the rim going forward. Claimed Gill is a good shooter (despite that not being apparent at Louisville). Hasn't been as dominant as White was during his year on the scout team, but has been very good.
  5. Home opener today, but I have to miss it. Bad job. Let's hope the good guys start a nice home win streak.

    Nick Bahe

Great news on Nick: The test on the tumors came back as benign.
  7. Sucks to be BOTH like CWG and me......
  8. I always did suck at math.
  9. Got swept. One run in 21 innings. I am officially losing my patience. Perhaps the bad attitude will cause us to go on a big run on the home stand.
  10. 17 straight scoreless innings
  11. Another disappointing loss today. Great pitching, no offense.

Something is wrong with that team. You could see it in the last couple of games. They have too much talent to be absolutely blown out by MSU.

Kelsey handles it with class, consistent with how she has always operated. Too bad it didn't work out for her, but she will be fine; she has the right stuff through and through.
  14. I'll take 9-2 over the Dirt Bags anytime. A sweep today would be nice, but we need to get at least one.
  15. Would have to think pretty soon, since I have heard the same name from 3 different people today. It's all over and they can't keep that quiet for long.
  16. The athletic department would have to be involved in that discussion. Connie would say her peace, but it would be an administration decision. It's all speculation anyway since we don't have a invite at this point.
  17. Don't you dare, Handy. Everyone is blaming Molinari for the results the past two seasons, but we all know the slide started with the Walter avatars.
  18. Sounds like a good chance that the season is over. Even if we get a WNIT bid (which is far from certain given our RPI), Connie hinted that she might lobby for us to reject it. In addition to Clark and Theriot being out, Shepherd has a stress reaction (a/k/a "Husker Syndrome" ) and Blackburn has a surgical leg issue. Not sure who else is playing hurt but we would have trouble putting a lineup out there.
  19. I feel bad for Bonnie Kelsey. The wins haven't come but she is good people. Have always respected how she comports herself and what she has to say.
  20. Strange, I read that column this morning and didn't think it was that snarky. Or unfair toward Miles. And I'm pretty defensive and protective of our guys.
  21. Congrats, Red Don! A glorious victory. Don't spend all the prize money in one place.
  22. Ah hell, Jimmy. I'll go ahead....."That's what she said"
