Just curious for your opinion on where Jeriah Horne plays and more importantly who he is gonna take minutes from?
My opinion on him not redshirting is more about guys not redshirting, not because I think he's going to play a ton of minutes.
Have to think he's in the SF-PF rotation with guys like White, Jacobson, McVeigh, and Fuller. Not sure if Roby is in that type of rotation or if he's with the guards. Also depends on who else we might sign or lose, obviously.
Good point on Roby. I see him more likely to get backup point gaurd minutes than Bakari. But i think the two gaurd spot minutes will be locked down by Webster, Watson, and Gill as I see them each getting 25+ minutes. I am excited for the competition for minutes next season.
Assuming Gill is the real deal, Webster is going to be huge next year as the backup for both him and Watson and you know that you can get good production out of him off the bench after this year. Bakari has to be ready next year because you're an injury away from being in big trouble and it would be great if he was able to earn more PT.
Interesting comments by Miles on his show last night about both new and returning guys. He said Bakari could redshirt, or could get minutes at point. He said the area he has struggled the most with is defense (But as Norm points out, he was 1-14 on 3s, and the misses looked flat-out ugly. If he struggles more on defense than that, I I have trouble thinking he will ever make it. But the comments from Miles suggested he will be back).
Webster may see more minutes at the point. Miles said Gill is a much better athlete than anyone we have going north and south, and should help us a lot in transition, where we have struggled. Isn't as athletic as Tai is laterally, but can get to the rim going forward. Claimed Gill is a good shooter (despite that not being apparent at Louisville). Hasn't been as dominant as White was during his year on the scout team, but has been very good.
