I knew he was going to shoot it about four seconds before he launched it. I think sometimes he goes back to being the man in high school and just tries to take it because no one else will. I choose to look at it as it's nice to have a guy who can get his own shot. Good talent upgrade and we have more years of him to come. Very nice player.

Dimes, perhaps this should go in the College Hoops forum, but I thought it deserved mention on the main board as Nick is a visible and talented basketball/sports guy in this state. Thoughts and prayers to Nick, who is undergoing surgery tomorrow for a chest tumor (Thymus gland I think), which will need to be biopsied to see if it is malignant. He also had a couple of strokes over the last 3 months, which have caused lots of vestibular problems. Bittersweet times, dealing with serious health issues while his wife and he brought a new daughter into the world just 3 weeks ago. Hoping for the best for this young man.

Great game. Inconsistently officiated. Romeo was excellent in all phases of the game. Shepherd was a force in there. Jazz got us going early. Good play off the bench. Team was dialed in.

Jacobson had some good moments also; very active on the boards. Benny was decent also. Fuller was the worst, struggled mightily in all phases of the game. Not sure how anyone could have expectations there. A road game without Shields and Morrow and starting 3 true freshmen; I didn't think it was that bad. Frankly, I've haven't been this optimistic about the future in many years, and that's not my nature. CBA success this year; NCAA tournament next year.
