Man I hope he keeps that all season long!

This captures a big reason why I find the NBA unwatchable.

I don't know how you could spin it any other way than good. My thinking is each one of these dudes know exactly the level of competition they're gonna face and the amount of work it's gonna take to be successful. No surprises. No adjustment period. Just nose to the grind.

Bet he doesn't even realize how good he is.

Step Aside, NIL. NCAA Is Here To Save College Sports
cornfed24-7 replied to HuskerFever's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
Parts of your argument is what I believe as well. Specifically, that the current system will lead to the downfall of college athletics as we know them. We won't see this happen for DECADES. Fans the way fans need to be created to sustain the level of revenue that keeps this whole thing humming along won't be created any more. Not the numbers you need anyway. But ultimately this argument is moot. The NCAA is done. Everything that is happening now is just the death weeze until the 2 super conferences are born. Then we can just blame the downfall on that -

Morgan as a stretch 4 is a...strrrrrrrrrretch

Yeah this kinda feels like Pandoras Box. I feel an event like this grabs the attention of people that can try and regulate NIL.

Just you wait until I win one of those billion dollar Powerballs!

I see a lot of 2 deep predictions. Thinking back to last year at this time and how I felt about the portal class I would say I feel better about the portal class this year. I state that to state this. Color me skeptical if we go 8-9 deep Sam Hoiberg isn't in that 8-9. And I reject any notion that means something bad. I said what I said!
-
With the reasons you state I go the other way with it. Mostly due to NIL. With his age, the injury, and rehab I would think he's MORE likely to stay 2 years. Gonna have to prove the knees good before you sign that 1st big pro contract. So we have to worry about another program offering a bag of cash to him after he's sat out a year? Probably not. But I bet the NIL collective here takes care of him. No knowledge just a hunch. Will he want to prove his knee is good in a system he's already been in for two years with coaches he knows and a role that's already well defined? Probably.

In another thread someone said Nebraska has had a huge let down this off-season following a great year. Maybe we're both right and the poster of the statements we disagree with don't know thier ass from a hole in the ground. *PLOT TWIST* Maybe only one of you or I are right...I wonder which one?

I was so hopeful I would see my Huskers in person next year...guess I'll just have to make it to their tournament game -
They were the dunk version of "meh"
-
For real. Meh?!? Give me a dude you can send out at anytime with the marching orders protect the paint, snag the boards, and if you can dunk it...DUNK IT!

Saw he had a nagging ankle injury last season too. This guy is ours to lose

Free trip to SoCal?

Been dealing with a back injury since 2018. When you're in the throes of an acute flair up it's hard to just exist. It's tough to do anything well, average, or even poorly
-
Hahaha it's funny because in any other food I agree completely. But for some reason in Runzas it works for me.
-
Every couple of years I order them and have them shipped to me. It's STEEP but I don't make it back to Nebraska. And like you it's one of the things I miss the most. https://runzashop.com/products/order-runza-sandwiches

MLS and Sporting KC - Official Thread
cornfed24-7 replied to aphilso1's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
Depends on where the soccer team is from. -
I agree. I think he's figured out how he wants to approach transfers in this new portal era. Took him a bit to get his sea legs under him, but I think he'll be steady from here on out
-
Nope. I'd wager we'll average 5 transfers every off-season from here on out unless they change the rules of the transfer portal. Silver lining that many transfers probably encourages the underclassmen to stay. Especially since the Super Senior are no longer a thing.
