No that was Chucky. Hunter always had his sights on a big time program and wanted to leave the state. Depends what he wants to do now. He might want to go somewhere that would offer a bigger offensive role but who knows

2022 F Isaac Traudt - Virginia->Creighton
Art Vandalay replied to Navin R. Johnson's topic in Husker Hoops Recruiting
I hope he gets there and finds out his girlfriend was banging some other dude on the team. That causes him to suck and creates a big rift within the team and they end up sucking ass. -
Do want, isnt it a dead period now anyway. Guessing it will ramp up soon
-
Why he chose to play in that offense I’ll never understand

‘You must not know a bunch of Jay fans. If it were not for their fans I would be able to stand Creighton -

Agree with that too but I’m pretty sure the new AD and him are not tight. If the president is Pearlman (painful to even type his name) the AD is Eichorst -

Guessing he leaked interest on purpose as a middle finger to the new AD and maybe get a raise. He also recently tweeted a picture of him and Bruce Rasmussen a couple days ago, probably not a coincidence -
He can get buckets for sure but volume shooter, no defense, and culture of losing. Think we’ve seen that before.
-
There were very few P5 teams that would even consider him.

How close were we? = How close are we?

IMO we actually have momentum for the first time under Fred so I see upside. Definitely need a good offseason but I can see it. Scott Drew did not have a winning season at Baylor until year 5 so it can happen -
Baylor Scheierman is a douche, almost as unlikeable as Grant Gibbs

Nebraska players come home PLEASE
Art Vandalay replied to 75unlgrad's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
Chucky basically said he would have come here if Lewis / Miles were still here, so he had some love for us. Hunter did not and I have no idea on Traudt so I’d defer to you on him. -

Or the President, still not convinced he leaves but he’s looking at options -

Gary Sharp mentioned today that McDermott reached out to Notre Dame about their opening. Was on article university their paper -
I thought he was good on the ball but got lost a lot in rotations. I liked him but did not think he could improve his shot or ball handling enough to get PT
-
Im guessing he sees the writing on the wall with PT. He knows we are in the market for a lead guard plus probably another wing. Then you have JL, Raamel, and possibly/hopefully KT coming back who all offer more rounded games. He was losing crunch time minutes to Sam H at the end of season to.

Totally agree, I just think currently the defender gets way to much benefit of the doubt, except when it goes against Iowa.
-
Don’t mind the arc but I hate charges. I think there are way more blocks that get called charges than vice versa.
-
He left at semester and has been working out in Omaha. Think Dawson will be leaving there too.
-
I trust his age. He used to help my sons team when he was a freshman/ sophomore. Really good kid, especially knowing where he came from. I have no problem with Tim suggesting the prep school after the injury. However I do think he could be a nice role player contributor on a good P6 team. SDSU is a very legit program.

What are the AD expectations for Fred next year?
Art Vandalay replied to huskerbill85's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
We had less returning last year and we were real close to upper half of Big10 (and tourney appearance). Obviously portal is important but I do not think we are that far off. -
I hope Tim does not go after the Cal job. I do not think he’d fit in well there at all and not sure they are committed to athletics. Hopefully he finds something better.

2022 F Isaac Traudt - Virginia->Creighton
Art Vandalay replied to Navin R. Johnson's topic in Husker Hoops Recruiting
It’s fun to dream. We need a PG, athletic wing, and versatile big. So they would be exactly what we need. I’ve heard Traudt to Creighton is going to happen unfortunately. It will be interesting to see how it shakes out -
Let’s give him one offseason of strength and agility training. He has had 2 knee surgeries the last 2 years and has not had that. If he builds up his core and leg strength I think we will see a much better player.
