Projected Rotation and Starting Lineup
Art Vandalay replied to NUdiehard's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
Nice write ups, thanks for sharing. You think we will see some different defenses, like a match up or straight zone? I am hoping we do with the added length but limited quickness -
We got no time for haters, it Kool Aid drinking time. We got to chug it because it might not last long
-
Agree, they said everything I would have hoped to hear and then some. Hope what we see matches what was said because I really want Fred to be successful here.
-
It’s odd no one is crystal balling him to ASU yet (that I could see) considering it seems obvious.

Decision Saturday, ASU, NCSt, and Us

Sounds like you’ve seen some practices. What are your thoughts?

Damn, you could have waited till Monday and not ruined my weekend

Best Trainers to work with in Omaha
Art Vandalay replied to KarlHessEatMy....'s topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
Lots of high end guys work at Going Vertical, would check them out -
Agree, really good shooter but limited size for a 2 guard and have not seen him run the point much so not sure how that transition will go. Surprised Creighton offer Dotzler, good player but did not see him at that level

Any news on the summer workouts?
Art Vandalay replied to 75unlgrad's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
I’m pretty confident things will look different this year, good or bad. I’m excited, as I always am, to get to watch our team. Hopefully we will play with much better effort and as a team so I can enjoy it even if the record does not get where we all hope. -
I guess I will comment as I see fit Francis. I believe it was an unnecessary shot at some kids most of us will be cheering for this year. Plus right now you have no clue how these guys will pan out compared to other BIG teams. Fred has earned the criticism but the new kids absolutely have not.
-
‘Still seems ridiculous to call kids scrubs who have chosen to come and bust their ass for our team. Especially since you must have not seen them play. A few of them have already proven themselves as quality players at other schools. No need for cheap shots just because you are unhappy
-
Really? There is being a pessimist and then there is this. Hope these kids don’t read this board
-
No mention of Blaise, hope he is 100% healthy
-
Sounds like he is N. I will say if Kelvin Sampson wants him and he had a legit offer from them then I am happy

2022 off-season moves: Hoiberg vs. Frost
Art Vandalay replied to Norm Peterson's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
‘The streak is kept around because it is good publicity period and we do not get a lot anymore. It’s a recruiting tool that is something different we can offer and recruits do mention it. How much it helps is debatable and probably pretty low but even if it helps just a little why not keep it going. They ask, encourage, and maybe even beg but they do not force anyone. -
2022 off-season moves: Hoiberg vs. Frost
Art Vandalay replied to Norm Peterson's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
They are not forcing anyone, those are boosters who want it to continue. You still have not explained what it hurts to continue. There is no down side only upside even if everyone knows it’s been artificially extended. -
2022 off-season moves: Hoiberg vs. Frost
Art Vandalay replied to Norm Peterson's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
I understand the logistics but what good comes from letting it die? It still is a positive selling point for the program and even recruits mention it. So if guys want to buy extra tix to keep it going why would we not want that? There is no down side to keeping it going. That logic always baffles me -
‘it a sad way to go thru life thinking the worst

2022 off-season moves: Hoiberg vs. Frost
Art Vandalay replied to Norm Peterson's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
Sam had a ton of options, he was in demand for sure and Gary was not an ugly girl in the corner either. I’m not predicting anything yet but I would not be surprised at all if we jumped up in the Big10 (not saying top 5-6). I like to think on the positive side until proven wrong, less depressing that way. -
2022 off-season moves: Hoiberg vs. Frost
Art Vandalay replied to Norm Peterson's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
Not sure how you arrived at that? Sam G and Gary were his prime targets so that tells me it was the plan and not default. I did not see us chasing a bunch of hero ball guys in the portal at all -
2023 SG Parker Friedrichsen -> Wake Forest...for now
Art Vandalay replied to royalfan's topic in Husker Hoops Recruiting
Just curious was he the lead guard or more 2 guard? Assuming he is not a PG but the highlights I’ve seen show some nice handles. -

from the latest Parker interview I think we might see some scheme changes, would love to hear what those are. We are also still looking for that wing, would love the UNC kid but not sure what chance we have but we will add someone for that role IMO -

Please baby Jesus, him and Betts would be incredible 2023 class, then add a PG.
