2023 Wing Brady Dunlap -> St John
cipsucks replied to Navin R. Johnson's topic in Husker Hoops Recruiting
Since coach mentioned it before jumping on a plane, I give it an 8.5. If he mentioned it before jumping from the plane, I'd lower that prediction by about 8 points or so. -
2021 SG Hunter Sallis ->Gonzaga->Wake Forest

Nicely done! I would have said well done, but that's a big no-no in these parts. Kidney is waiting for the Teenage Wasteland reference. -
Maybe he now identifies as a Boomer. Good for him!

9-0 Huskers still in the bottom of the 2nd. -
I love HHC! It's an online bar where people can speak their minds.

So far in the 2022-2023 + season, Nebraska Basketball is undefeated against the Axis of Evil: Creighton, Iowa and Wisconsin. GBR!

2023 Wing Brady Dunlap -> St John

Well, the list is in alphabetical order. You must be under the Hampton curse, also? -
He has no control over it. He's under the Hampton curse. For those of you who live in Omaha and think Seward is western Nebraska, Aurora and Hampton are in the 330 mile marker range on I-80. 6 miles apart. Back in my days of growing up in Hampton, our population was 400, Aurora about 9 times bigger. So, they're Class B, we're Class D. No chance to ever play in high school sports. American Legion baseball was a different story. After several years of Aurora telling us to go away, they agreed to play us in 1978. We played them at Mitchell Field in Aurora. Both had our aces on the mound. (As an aside, I was the right fielder in the game), we won 3-1 or 4-2 something like that. Here's my point: as royalfan has stated before, Aurora and Hampton have never been Creighton towns. Scheierman will never win against the Huskers because of what we did back in 1978. He has the weight of losing to a "perceived" lesser program on his shoulders. I bet he loses twice to the Huskers next season...

I see he is right leaning. Not talking politics here...

Cipsalsa is making a return in 2023. I decided it was time to get off my fat ass and do a garden again. Let's do a contest! We'll drag it along till I can make salsa. Dimes deadline is July 1st. I'll move it up a month. Whomever successfully names our portal transfers between now and June 1st will get a pint of salsa. The first person who correctly names the new additions from the portal will get a quart. If there are still transfers out there, we'll keep going till July 1st and do the contest all over again. I have a really good feeling the portal will be very favorable to the Huskers. Don't walk by sight, but by faith!

84 is an important number to Arkansas. I can't confirm this, but (at least) 84 people attended this press conference.

Nebraska (17-10-1) vs. Michigan (17-13) Series Game Thread
cipsucks replied to Bugeaters1's topic in Other Huskers Sports
What a quick game. I listened to the first pitch where it was one pitch, one out for the Huskers. Got busy doing other things. GBR! -
What needs to be done is the title of this thread. Make and sell a Keisei watch, giving him the proceeds. Options are unlimited. You can have CDT and Japan time on the watch or have Pavelka's voice yell "Keisei for three" twice a day. Set the alarm to say "Bang-a-Rang". Sell 20,000 watches at a hundred bucks apiece, after cost, Keisei probably pockets a cool million before taxes. If someone steals my idea, I at least want credit.

Just asking...Is it pronounced Hoogly, Hugely or Hugly. I've met so many Hugly women over the course of my life, no need to meet anymore. -
2022 F Isaac Traudt - Virginia->Creighton
cipsucks replied to Navin R. Johnson's topic in Husker Hoops Recruiting
I've never heard those words... -
My indifference to Creighton went to intense disdain when I went to UNL. The fraternity I was in also had a Creighton chapter. We were Nebraska Alpha, they weren't. What a bunch of arrogant douches. But that didn't send me over the edge. I know I've shared this story before, but it's worth repeating. It was either spring of 81 or 82. NU was playing Creighton in baseball at Rosenblatt. Maybe 5 or 6 thousand fans. Big turnout for those days. Turner Gill made a hard slide into 2nd base and didn't get up. The Creighton students stood up and cheered the fact he was hurt. He got up and we beat those pricks. As jayschool so eloquently put it, F Crayton.

I can't speak for the OP, but instead of who had a bigger impact this year, maybe the question should be who received more respect this year? I'll guarantee you no one in Valentine, Sidney or North Platte gives a crap about Creighton. They know who Sam is. Can't tell you about Milligan. They don't have a grocery store.

I think you're spot on talking Husker Basketball fans. If you talk about the rest of the fanbase that doesn't follow Husker basketball, when you remove the Creighton fans that are huge Husker football fans, I'd say it's 90 percent Husker fans are indifferent at best to Creighton athletics. Creighton isn't a Nebraska school. Never has been. Never will be. That's why Traudt waited till today to enter the portal. He and Scheierman are both coming to UNL!

Rose has a master's degree in hyperbole. He doesn't have to be accurate, just inflammatory. Preparation H would help... He and Sadlemeyer were talking earlier in the program how they couldn't comprehend how Husker fans didn't want Creighton to win yesterday. That's when, after muttering F Creighton, I asked them the question which they couldn't hear, do you two clowns understand all the dirty shit Creighton fans have done to Nebraska these past forty years? Rose actually speculated it's a small minority of Husker fans who hate Creighton. Maybe 20 per cent at most. I think Jim has been running with the Omaha elites for too long. So Handy, I switched to a podcast and missed the Rosie did you knowsie. I do that most mornings, now.
