I bailed on the Huskers last year. After football and basketball, I couldn't take another depressing season. Didn't realize Omaha took 2 of 3 last year till I heard it on the radio this morning. That crap gets corrected tonight.

I was curious about the knee pads. I don't remember anyone wearing them in the 60's. Maybe the fifties? I was joking about the 1 foot jumper. Small town papers had a reporter who covered the game, took photos and wrote the story. Someone else wrote the captain underneath the picture. Many times, it was messed up. It happens. FWIW, my two local papers back in the 60's and 70's did a really good job. York News Times and Hub Foster and the Aurora News Register and Forrest Hosier.
