What’s going on everybody. Figured I’d fire up an account on the board to be amongst the basketball folks in the dog days of summer.

For those of you who don’t know me, I’m entering my third full season covering Nebraska Basketball for Huskers Illustrated magazine. I also host a basketball podcast, The Stretch Big with Jacob Bigelow. You may have also heard me randomly popping in on 1620 over the last year or so on either the morning or midday shows. In my college years I was a student manager for the basketball program at Nebraska under Coach Miles.

Planning to be around this summer and fall leading into the new season. If anybody’s got some off-season questions, would be happy to answer them to the best of my ability.

    Happy to be here.

If he can give us 24 strong dakikas and 12 sayı every game, that'll be harika.

    Some excerpts:
The names — in order — that Hoiberg mentioned as contenders were Utah transfer Rollie Worster, Ahron Ulis, Brice Williams, Sam Hoiberg, Rutgers transfer Gavin Griffiths and Wisconsin transfer Connor Essegian, but Hoiberg raved about Worster’s potential off the top.
“I love everything Rollie is all about,” Hoiberg said. “He’s got a chance to be the only Husker ever to score 1,000 points, get 500 rebounds and 500 assists, if he has an OK year he will achieve those numbers. Talking to anybody that’s been around Rollie or played against Rollie, all they say is he does whatever it takes to win. And you can see that. His shot looks really good right now. He’s been working really hard on his shot, and he just does all the little things right.”

With that said, though, it wouldn’t be a surprise if Nebraska ultimately runs a system that has multiple ball handlers, just based on the various lineup potentials this squad has.

And that’s not just from the point guard perspective but for all five starting spots.

“I’m going to have a really tough job when it’s all said and done on who’s going to be the guys that not only start the game, but probably more importantly, who finishes the game,” Hoiberg said. “But that point guard spot, I’ve been pleased with what I’ve seen. And again, the multi-handler system, we’ve got a lot of guys that can initiate the offense.”

    Other notes:
Meah practicing in half-court drills. Frager doing only shooting drills. Live-action in late August, maybe. Mast shooting, not moving, ahead of rehab schedule. Fred makes no apologies for non-con schedule. "We're going to get tested."

    I'm fine with the schedule.
Our non con SOS was 322 last year.
This year it will probably be in low-mid 200's.

If you really want to get fired up, go to the Saint Mary's game in Sioux Falls.
    The atmosphere should be electric.

I worked on that Beautiful Campus in Corvallis. Saw Fresno St Football come to town in ‘91 and bought a ticket at the window for 3 bucks at kickoff.

Unfortunately you usually don't finish the season with as many active players as you start with. Injuries happen. So it's nice we actually have some depth to work with. That's crucial for teams late in March and April.

Thats the Canadian step— it’s kind of like a Euro with a little more travel and carry involved.

    COMPLETELY LEGAL though.
