The Cornhuskers return eight letterwinners including four starters off of last year’s team that went 25-9 overall, finished second in the Big Ten and advanced to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament. Jordan Hooper paces the club with 19.8 ppg and 10.0 rpg. Head coach Connie Yori is in her 12th season at Nebraska and owns a 215-135 career record at the school.
The Cougars return 11 letterwinners including three starters from last year’s team that went 11-20, 6-12 in the Pac-12, finishing eighth in the conference and advancing to the quarterfinals of the Pac-12 Tournament for the second straight season. Headlining the returners are a pair of All-Pac-12 selections in Lia Galdeira and Tia Presley along with senior forward Sage Romberg, a three-year starter for the Cougars.
WSU is coming to Lincoln following an 80-73 loss at BYU last Tuesday. Nebraska leads the all time series between the two schools at 4-0 with 2 games in Lincoln and two in Pullman.
