We got schooled today. To be fair morrow should be the 4

Morrow, sure. But Hammond gave up a lot of those points that dude scored today. Last year, it was Pitchford and whoever else couldn't stop the undersized bigs from Incarnate Word. We need someone who not only can defend the post but also someone who can score down there like that guy did to us.

I actually felt Hammond played that guy well today. morrow got worked like a 2 dollar hooker though.

I still think that Hammond might have been a bit sick, just looked sluggish when he came in. I thought he played well just sluggish.

Getting his head cracked on the floor doesn't help either, nor does not getting the start might have caused it too.

Ha! This player. Duran Porter, is listed as a 6'10" guard on the box score in another thread. The Abilene Christian official site lists him at 6'8" and 240 pounds.

He has performed in a similar manner only a few times this year--one was against Colorado St. on a 100-108 overtime loss.

Which player schooled our bigs? Can't tell from the box score.

Duran Porter.  He was saddled with foul trouble in the first half thanks to some aggressive rebounding by Ed Morrow.

But he never fouled out and went 6-10 from the floor and got to the line where he went 5-6.

They were entering the ball to him and he showed how to create some separation and score over someone else's (ours) big man defender.  He did so at least six times, I'm guessing all in the 2nd half.

6-10 was his shooting numbers from the floor, not his height.  He's mistakenly listed as a guard.  He was their starting center, however.

Morrow left his feet 4 times attempting to guard the post and all these plays ended in a layup or free throws for Abilene

A lot of good pump fakes by a guy who couldn't jump.
