How Many More for 2015 & Which Postions?

I'm curious how many more we have room to take in 2015? And, if there is more room, which positions are we in need of and who are the priority targets?

I would guess that the post is the most in need of, But I'll let Row 6 or HB get into who the target's are as I have no Idea.

At least one more and the right person wants to come two.  Positions need would be at the three spot and we're hopefully in on Miss Page, which would fill that need big time.  Though I am normally pining for bigs looking at the last two classes, I would have to say a versitile guard.  A six footer playing at the 2 spot that can really handle the ball, play ball defensively, pass and has a deep skill set at scoring would do.  I am asking a bit too much though.

We have 4 commits now for 2015 with the addition of Blackburn and Page to go with Simon and Shepard. Blackburn obviously is a post, Shepard projects as a versatile power forward and Simon and L. Page are likely wings at the 2 or 3 spots. All 4 of them are at least 6 feet 2 which is exciting to have so many long and athletic girls. I think we'll be looking for a point guard, seems like things will be slim at PG after Theriot is gone. All I can think of is Romeo being the only backup. We will need more depth at PG to get the ball to the scorers.

They would have have Chandler Smith at Point also.I don't know if the Cincore girl would be a point guard or not.

Agree.....Looking beyond next year, and when Theriot leaves, we may be short a point guard for the future. So maybe an emphasis on PG in the 2016 & 2017 classes, for the future. (beyond Romeo & ?)

 

It will depend on how Romeo and Smith progress, plus any other guard we have, that could run the point. Both have to learn the position, and remain healthy. It sure would be nice to have two capable PG's all the time. It gives us way more flexibility.

 

Numbers:

We lose 2 guards and 2 forwards next year, and a PG and F the year after that, so maybe we can use another F or C this 2015 class?  (there's one F (wing) and one C in the 2014 class)

 

It might depend on who else  might want to come this year......could take an excellent guard too, for what may be the last commit for 2015?  I see 5 max. taken this year.

 

This is not to mention any attrition that happens almost every year, which can change things in a hurry.

 

Yori has turned the corner to a higher level as a Top 15 team. If she can continue to have 23-25+ win teams, get into the NCAA's.....

the recruiting will continue to be very good, like the last couple of years.
