Just a little to little, too late.  But dammit, I'm proud of these guys.  Except for Ray.  His performance was way below what he is capable of.

 

Seems like Ray's just having hell with the concept of "role player". He's so engaged when he's chucking them up, but when he's not, like an empty uniform.

The first fifteen minutes and the last five minutes was great basketball for the Huskers...that other twenty minutes or so though...yuck!

Seriously, could Petteway and Biggs do anything more than they did that last five minutes.  That is playing for pride!

Most of the game on offense it seemed like he just stood there, not even working to get open.  He has to put more effort on the offensive end to get open.  I could have guarded him tonight.

That's what I'm hoping.  McGeary will be out, so hopefully we can match-up better with them.

Nope.  I'm not giving moral victories to this team either.

 

They fought to the end with the 22nd ranked team on the road tonight.  They are a much better team than they think.  They gotta get that into their heads.  This team is capable of pulling off the win in every game they play.  They need to act and play like it.

Nebraska missed some shots, and Iowa hit some free throws.  That's about as basic as it gets.

No leadership...when adversity presents itself they crumble. Really hope we can find some leaders. Ray being inconsistent again. Tough to see a senior play like that.

Both big chunks of time that Biggs was in the game went well. We got steals and got to the rim. Then Biggs sat for a long period and That is when Iowa turned the lead up to 20. Then Biggs came back in and we chewed away at the lead. Biggs stepped it up big time. We need this from him every game and if he does bring it every game, he needs more minutes. Did Biggs finally grow up or is this a once in awhile type of thing?

I would love to see Biggs lock down Aaron Craft on Saturday and rob him like a Brazilian street urchin.

It will be important for whoever covers Craft to maintain their composure.  Craft is like a burr under the sadle.  I would LOVE IT if Craft is the one who becomes frustrated...for once.
