Robinson actually moved up one spot.

Hammond probably dropped just because he committed to us. By all other accounts he really improved his game over the summer.

yeah I thought he was #50 as I did it from memory since they dont list the previous ranking they had.

I actually think Hammond dropped because of all the new guys that entered the list higher than him like Bolden, Solomon etc.

I am probably in the minority, but I like Bolden more than Robinson.  Bolden is the type of all around player that is taylor made for Miles system, and he just seems to have the "it" factor from what i could see from his tape (albeit very limited).

Robinson could be a boom, but he could also be a bust.  Guys that large are always a risk.  Yes, reports are that he lost 30 lbs.  But he could very easily put those 30 lbs back on and more.  We saw this with Almeida who could never get his weight under control.  It could be an injury that sparks his setback, or girl problems or who knows what.  Also, it was clear from the start that AA was never really in Miles' plans for his system.  AA was not able to run the offense or defense that Miles wants to run.  He was too slow on defending the screen, and on offense he wasn't versatile enough.  Miles wants 5 players who essentially are all interchangeable on both offense and defense.  AA clogged up the middle and thus muddled up his system.  Obviously, Miles can change his system to better fit a player like Robinson.  And again, Robinson could turn out to be great.  But considering the risk, I like the bolden kid a little more at this point.

DISCLAIMER - I like both of them A LOT and would be more than happy with either of them--just want to make that clear.

Andre isnt in the same class as Elbert in his abilities.  Plus I have a feeling from reading articles that elbert has ambitions of the NBA, I think Andre had ambitions of KFC and IHOP.  I also am in the belief that if both Robinson and Bolden want N the spot will be there for them.

I think our chances of getting Robinson are a lot better than Bolden at this point. We've heard very little about Bolden other than 1 article on rivals.

With Robinson we have an official visit set, his main recruiter in Kenya, and a huge need for another big man.

And we hadn't heard anything regarding Robinson until August 28th when all of a sudden, boom, a tweet rolls out that he's visiting. We had heard we had shown interest early in the summer and then heard zero until August 28th. A lot goes on behind the scenes that we don't get to hear about. Miles and Harriman were down under this summer seeing Bolden. Bolden just came to the U.S. and there may be a lot going on with his recruitment even though we've heard nothing. You're right, it is true that we've heard little about Bolden since the one article but I don't think you can rule us out because of that fact. There's been no news about his recruitment regarding any school, not just Nebraska.

wasn't ruling him out. just saying that our chances seem better with Elbert as of now.

Okay gotcha. And next week after Elbert hasn't committed yet (hope I'm wrong) and Bolden announces a visit then we'll feel better about where we stand with him!

Would love both bolden and Robinson. Bolden, both will see immediate playing time.

There's a long way to go between here and there, but I think you're right and I don't think it's a stretch to say so.  We're still lacking in talent and depth.  We haven't had a top 100 player in many, many moons.  Any top 100 player who comes in here should, at the very least, be able to crack the top 8 in the rotation and get solid minutes if not start.
