Norm Peterson Posted September 5, 2013 Report Posted September 5, 2013 One thing I like about Elbert is his soft hands. From what I've seen, he appears to have touch. Which means if he can get a shot in close, he's not as likely to clang it off the iron as what we used to complain about with Aleks Maric. The other thing about Elbert is that he's huge. And fairly mobile. And being that huge and mobile, it'll be tough for anyone to keep him away from getting in close. Quote

ShortDust Posted September 6, 2013 Report Posted September 6, 2013 There's Some good info in this weeks tunnel talk about what may happen for the bball team and it starts with this weekends visit of Elbert! http://nebraska.rivals.com/showmsg.asp?fid=522&tid=166452367&mid=166452367&sid=928&style=2 Quote
Norm Peterson Posted September 6, 2013 Report Posted September 6, 2013 Look no further, Elbert. We're your school. Quote

Says that Deng is most likely to come on official. Says Elbert and Deng are to sign in Nov and Bolden will probably wait til spring after and see where his recruiting process leads him. Top priorities seem to be Robinson, Bolden, Deng. He thinks Nebraska will take two in fall and one in spring. Which makes you think that two players would be gone after the year. Quote
Concrete Posted September 6, 2013 Report Posted September 6, 2013 Thanks man. So Wacker is looking like a fall back option at this point?I think Deng is ours to lose, just from brief updates I've read. Robinson and Bolden will obviously be very tough to pull off Quote

I'm hoping the haul we would bring in would be Robinson, Bolden, and Deng. Don't get me wrong, three out of these four though would be amazing to add with Hammond! Quote

Are you saying that we will take 4 total? So 3 this fall and 1 in the spring. Or 2 this fall (counting Hammond) and then the 1 in the spring? If we are just talking 3 total then only 1 underclassman currently on the roster would need to go. Norm Peterson 1 Quote
ShortDust Posted September 6, 2013 Report Posted September 6, 2013 I was thinking that we end up with 3 in the fall including hammond, but 2 seems more realistic (including hammond) and then one in spring. My gut is telling me that we take Wacker, Deng and then Robinson goes to osu. I don't have a clue who would be committing in the spring. Bolden would be awesome, but I bet he goes to an elite school. We had a better chance if he would've stayed overseas, just like we did with Tai. Quote

Norm Peterson Posted September 6, 2013 Report Posted September 6, 2013 I'd be OK with Hammond and Robinson signing this November and then Bolden signing in the spring. That's the way I have it mapped out. OK, coaches, git'r done. Quote

Just not quite sure what Miles will tell him on the in home visit. I guess only time will tell. Quote

Norm Peterson Posted September 6, 2013 Report Posted September 6, 2013 I talked to someone and get the impression Wacker would be N if he had a commitable offer. Let's just say we leveraged our connections with institutions of interest to the Wacker family. Turns out Coach Miles and the Wackers have something in common besides basketball. Quote
