Nebraska is expected to host another official visitor during the spring signing period. Sources say Mikael Herbert, a 6-10 forward from Finland, could visit within the next 8-10 days, although the visit may come later.

Wow.  Don't need to worry about going big with Sai's spot if we go big with someone else's.

Mikael Herbert, Kouvot
Pros: Herbert is a natural – good hands, good positioning, good shot, good size. Has basketball in his genes (son of the coach). A late bloomer, who has been playing basketball seriously for only two years. His club coach is a guy who is willing to develop young players, so Herbert should have a bright future in basketball.

Cons: Has been playing basketball seriously for only two years, so he is extremely raw and unpolished. Lacks both upper and lower body strength and his footwork is average. Still growing into his body and gets fatigued easily.

Saw that... think this just a plan B to Sai?

I think it is in addition to Sai

So you thinking we will be hearing about a transfer here in the next few days?

Yeah.  I don't have any inside information or anything.  But just judging by what the feeling has been around these parts...

I don't think we would hear anything until we have someone ready to commit.  And actually, Nebraska can oversign by 1 and let things shake out over the summer.

How can you be the son of a basketball coach, but only play basketball seriously for 2 years?

I would think so.  Totally different players.  Dang, you guys are quick with the vids and the links and stuff.  Hat's off.

He's definitely not the banger that I think we would all like to see in the 5-spot, but think about the matchup problems Nebraska could cause if both the 4-spot and 5-spot could step out and consistently knock down the 3...

are we recruiting him for 13 or 14? I'll take Sai over this kid.

If I had to guess, my guess would be that we're recruiting him for 2013 as a player in addition to Sai and Smith.  Smith is more ready.  Sai is more of a 3/stretch 4.  This kid is more of a Euro big with decent skills.  He's able to put the ball on the floor and drive. I'd like to see him go up a little stronger.  He can use either hand pretty well inside as the workout video shows.  I don't think I'd teach hooks like that, but I'll let someone like Dean Smith address that.

He has good glide to the rim.  Also has touch from three point range.  Decent looking stroke.  Shoots around 30% but that can improve with work.  His mechanics aren't bad and that's something you can work at.  He has a good foundation.

He's long and he's seemingly a pretty decent athlete for his size.  I see a little Christian Standhardinger finesse type play to him. Wish he'd be a little stronger going up with the ball instead of trying to sneak it in underneath someone.

Overall?  This is a very intriguing player.  Decent upside.  Would probably benefit from a redshirt, but this kid appears to have potential.

I agree with all of this.

The problem is that we only have one scholarship... or do we? Is it possible that Sergej or Parker have already decided to transfer but haven't made it public? I doubt we bring in a kid from Finland for a visit unless we have room for him.

The talk has been that a player has already approached Miles about looking for another opportunity.  That's just what the talk has been.

Judging by this potential target, in addition to what I think we have all seen (or not seen) with our own eyes, I think that it could be safe to assume which player that might have been.

If this ends up being the case, then I don't think many people will be completely shocked.

Someone who does not see much PT in the near future as he did not even get it this year... I think Serj may be gonzo if this the case.

Maybe he will be Nebraska's version of StandhardingerNowitzki
