12dozen Posted January 29, 2024 Report Posted January 29, 2024 If "you guys" want to start game threads, go for it. I was only filling a void left by one of 'you guys'. My only suggestion, do something on game day to remind members, "it's game day!". Others have mentioned to me, they appreciate the reminder. Quote

It's not happening here. I used to do them, but people were critical of how I did them so I quit. Quote
Bugeaters1 Posted January 29, 2024 Report Posted January 29, 2024 You shouldn't have to REMIND someone of a game thread. It is posted and they can find it. Merlin 1 Quote
Red Don Posted January 30, 2024 Report Posted January 30, 2024 Kudos to @12dozen for taking the initiative starting the "Game Threads" the past three years (since the Michigan Game 1/7/21). I don't believe he has missed any, or very many, since - that takes real dedication. For myself, I like seeing posts on impending games so I don't forget (age y'know) or miss any; and info like Time, How to Watch/Listen, Links, in case it's already started. Per the Game Thread: GO BIG RED!!! BEAT PURDUE!!! (Good Vibes) AuroranHusker, Neb Nets and 12dozen 1 2 Quote

redsteve Posted January 31, 2024 Report Posted January 31, 2024 (edited) Home game (add 10 pts) with mid pac team Purdue, and we look the better team... on paper anyway. They have some size with a couple of 6-2 players, but no apparent big scorers, but several can score.. We just take of business and all should be good. Cazzie22 Posted January 31, 2024 Report Posted January 31, 2024 Wish I could be at tonight’s game. Hope the crowd gets behind the girls. They need a win but more importantly to play well. Quote
Huskerpapa Posted January 31, 2024 Author Report Posted January 31, 2024 Sorry, didn't mean to tilt the universal axis so significantly by opening this thread. Just to explain myself; I didn't do it as a show of disrespect or to ruffle feathers. I started it as an escape from the negativity that was ongoing in the Iowa thread. Everyone has a right to their opinion; I thought the new thread (with our upcoming game) could serve as a bastion of positivity for those wishing to explore that option Bugeaters1 and KLamp21 2 Quote
