Hurley has control at UConn.  In LA and the NBA the players run the show.  Some college coaches aren’t cut out for the NBA and vice versa.

If you remove the word "Some" and replace it with "Most", we then would be in total agreement 

I cannot think of one great college coach who made a successful transition to the NBA.  Shoot, PJ Carlisimo was almost eaten alive.  (Brad Stevens may be an exception, but even he quit coaching as soon as he could)

Donovan has been employed as a NBA basketball coach for 9+ seasons. That's a success.

Pitino did well with the Knicks. But I’d agree with the premise most don’t do well.
