I was at the game. There were enough people there to make a little more noise but apparently we were all in the frigid mood like our shooting.  I did set a personal vertical leap from my seat when Coley missed her point blank nobody on me layup for the second game in a row.  She did play pretty good defense when she was in there.  Potts not fouling out was important.  I think our defense is good enough to slow down Minnesota's hitting threes a little  but we will need to really be on in hitting ours to win this game.
So, do you think that there were 4040 butts in the seats.

Since everybody seems to dislike Maddie Krull, I will say she is the reason we won this game. Check out the +/- if you don't believe me.  Best defender on the team, quietly does the dirty work and gives us offense when she can. Good job Maddie.

Why do you think people dislike her? I think she adds a high IQ and does the "dirty work" too. I just think she lacks the speed and athleticism needed in this conference at times. Speed and athleticism that the two Kendall's DO possess, but unfortunately, they lack the IQ and consistency that MK brings. It's a shame. I like Nissley in the game for her offense, but she hurt us again on defense yesterday. Also had 4 turnovers. Her shot is just so quick and lethal when she's on though, I feel like she needs to get minutes like she got last night. The layups hurt us for sure, although I would argue with the comment earlier that they were all "wide open" layups, because a few of the times we got hammered with no call, 2 of White's for sure and also 1 or 2 of AM's that I recall. I really liked the intensity and the way we pushed the ball last night, and their PG, who is one of their top scorers, was held to single digits and had 5 or 6 turnovers. I thought our defense was solid, which is in contrast to what some others have said on here. They had some hot shooters, but we weren't necessarily "letting" them shoot.

Great to have the starting guards score total of 30 points versus Illinois and which was more than the 14 and 11 of the prior two games combined.   Shelley with 17 (4  3's)  and 6 assists; Krull with 7 and 2 assists; and White with 6 and 1 assist (missed a couple layups).  Each had some rebounds as well.  The guards did a better job of moving and trying to create shots.    Appears Williams went somewhat away from her y ball substitutions this game with the 5 starters having 25 or more minutes each, with Shelley the max at 37.   The prior 4 games, 3 had more than 25 min with In; 3 with WI, 4 with MD; and 2 with KU.  Good win but 4th quarter drought on scoring was not good.

Why do I think they dislike Madrid.  Just read the posts on here. Just like you above.  She is too slow etc.  She did start on a Sweet 16 team a couple of years ago.

I checked this morning to see wif they had stayed. They left after 1 AM this morning. There were thunderstorms in Urbana last night, so that may be what they were waiting for.

We shot 33.9% and had 16 turnovers and still won some how.  It looked like poor shooting was a contagion.  Miss White missed 3 open layups, Miss Nissely missed 2 of the more open 3's she's gong to have this year, AM's issues have been well enough documented above and Miss Potts only hit 3 of 10.  All I can say is way not to let an off night shooting destroy your grit ladies.  Regardless it's still a real nice win.

Must have something to do with lack of feeling 'comfortable' when closely defended (i.e. intimidation).  I'm sure its easy to feel 'pressured' even when 'open' for easy shots.  Even Sam (Hoiberg) can miss on breakaways (but not often, usually out-running his pursuit 🙏)
