Both are/were point guards in their respective offenses last year; both are taller and stronger then most college point guards; both are slashers rather than perimeter scorers and both have the ability to switch on defense. I truly thought you had inside information that you could elaborate on. My bad. Quote
Husker4theSpurs Posted May 8, 2023 Report Posted May 8, 2023 I'm feeling better and better about this pickup. I know we're all riding the disappointment of not getting Sallis etc but getting a PG with B1G experience at this point in the game is pretty darn decent. HuscurAdam 1 Quote

hhcmatt Posted May 8, 2023 Report Posted May 8, 2023 One upside with Ulis having 2 years remaining is that if he works out great we have him for another year and if he doesn't work out he can easily grad transfer somewhere else. Silverbacked1 and k3s3i 2 Quote
Navin R. Johnson Posted May 8, 2023 Report Posted May 8, 2023 To me he seems like a solid pick up considering we did not get a couple of others that we wanted. The one question I have is why was he still available this late in the game? How long was he in the portal and who all contacted him? Quote

Norm Peterson Posted August 2, 2023 Report Posted August 2, 2023 OMG, the news keeps getting worse. First it was he gambled. And gambled a LOT. Then it was he gambled on Iowa. Now it's being charged with tampering with evidence. Oh shoooooooot. Quote

He and Ulis are probably both done with college sports, at least in the NCAA. They might be able to sneak into an NAIA school. Peru could use some help. Norm Peterson and Bugeaters1 1 1 Quote
Norm Peterson Posted August 2, 2023 Report Posted August 2, 2023 My bad for bumping a recruiting thread instead of one on the main board. I should pay closer attention. Quote

One is team chemistry. Can everyone accept their roles and focus on team goals. Secondly, can Lloyd be our breakout star. Ahron can end up being better here than he was at Iowa. I think Iowa struggled at times with their identity, especially defensively. At the end of the year, I think their primary point guard was McCafferty. Not sure why, but it likely led to Ahron being available to us. I'm still wondering... Quote
