Huskers Meet No. 11 Maryland on Alumni Day
The Nebraska women's basketball team shoots for a season sweep of Maryland when the Huskers play host to the No. 11 Terrapins on Sunday in Lincoln.

Tip-off between the Big Red (12-7, 4-4 Big Ten) and the Terps (15-4, 6-2 Big Ten) is set for 1 p.m. (CT). Tickets are on sale now at Huskers.com. Live statewide television coverage will be provided by Nebraska Public Media with Larry Punteney and Kara Graham on the call. A live video stream will be available to subscribers of B1G+.

I feel like Coach Amy is “working the refs”, giving them an earful much more this season than in previous years.

Ugh, starting the game with a 6 point first quarter.  Once Maryland gets going, it’ll be ugly.

If Maryland was hitting any kind of percentage this game would be over.  Our offense is inept. If we don’t hit threes we have nothing.

So far in the first half Huskers seem out-of-sorts; Maryland In-sorts, lead by Sixteen;  11-27 @ the TO.

Once again, didn't take a single time out (I don't think).  At the least, we could have prevented the 10 second turnover.

How the half finished out epitomizes the entire half for us.  We can't seem to hang onto the ball to have the final shot.  UGH!! to the entire half.  No matter who you're playing, you have to have better offense on your home court than to score only 14 points in a half.  I knew they would be coming for us.  I simply want to see them execute better- hopefully a lot so- in the 2nd half.  GBR!

Cannot shoot, cannot make free throws, cannot pass, turn the ball over constantly.  Anything else I missed.

Why take a time out? We wouldn’t make any adjustments.  We are outclassed and overmatched.  This team is not improving. Our post players are expecting shots to be blocked and they are displaying hands of stone.  Maryland is playing well defensively but they know what we are going to do. It’s a sad performance.

As someone mentioned earlier, cannot call time out to light a fire under everyone’s bum.

It’s very ugly and some of it is self inflicted.

Maryland, with a buzzer-beater bucket to end the half, leads by Twenty-three (14-37).

This type of performance that we’ve seen way too many times this season, should not be happening in year 7 of AW’s tenure, especially with the players we have coming off last season.

Iowa will boat race us.  Glad I didn’t drive three hours to see such a sad performance.  This season is on the verge of heading to the crapper.

It seems like player development could be better and maybe needs emphasis.  Sam Haiby is good, but then again she was always good.  Some improvement in other players, over and above expected improvement from freshmen to sophomore seasons), but not as much improvement as needed.  The danger there is that we could have trouble attracting higher-level talent if there is a perceived underdevelopment.
