Did Allison suffer a fracture in the eye region?  Either way, I am guessing she may not play at this tournament.  But she is a tough kid, if she can play, she will.

Per Matt Coatney, Allison Weidner will start. Probably won't see Sam Haiby this weekend, but seems to be more precautionary than anything else as her injury seems to less serious than thought (or could be).

Markowski with 2 fouls.  Yet, she's still out by half court defending.  Could have picked up number 3.  Lucky she didn't.

 

Not much fire, so far.  Pick it up, ladies.

Not watching (just listening  )   but Jeff Greisch said that the Defense has started to pick it up, resulting in the Husker Run!  (Score 20-14 w/6 min left in the 1st half)

She just now picked up number 2.  Not sure why I thought she had 2 earlier.  Weidner is playing well.  Stewart with a couple nice 3's.

After a slow start (A&M leading by 5 or 6) Huskers catch on Fire  and close the 1st half with a 15 pt lead @ 35-20 & rebounding 17-9.

Congratulations to Annika!   She has paid her dues, and deserves the recognition for a well done 23 pts, with several different shots. (80% from the floor shooting 2 ptrs)  Rebounded well too.

 

Markowski was solid with another double-double. (third of year... team high).  Wiedner saved us in the first half, and got us going.  These two are  solid game after game.  So much for the sophmore letdowns.

Quite the turnaround after the first qtr. Hopefully they can keep that up the rest of weekend. And I won't say much about the sophomore slump until we play the real teams to see how they do.
