no. 17 Maryland trails no. 1 SoCar 32-26 at half.

Kansas St pulled away from Wiscy in the second half.

autumn johnson(?) on the BTN has Huskers as a #5 seed in the tourney.

I think the student announcers turned their mikes off during a time out, and forgot to turn them back on.  Didn't affect watching the game any.

Curious if they will figure it out before the 2nd half starts.

I like the effort the Huskers are getting from the bench, Coley and Moriarty in particular.  Looking for Krull to warm up this half.

YNice win despite some sloppy play on offense.  Weidner continues to impress and Jaz is just an all around player.  Sometimes we seem content to jack up threes when we could work the ball for a higher percentage shot.  Looking forward to how we play against Creighton.  Who will guard Jensen and Maly?

Agree.  I think Weidner has caught up to Jazz.   I really like how she drives to the bucket and crashes offensive boards.  Questionable competition, but Izzie and Markowski are feasting down low.  Also liked the way we made the mid range shots.  We don't have to live by the "3".   Do you think Brady/Krull will get first shot on Jensen?  Maly by committee? (Brady, Krull, Coley, Stewart, Moriarty?)   I hope we approach "D", intent on helping Markowski and Izzie avoid foul trouble. We will need big minutes from them.  It won't be easy, but should be good prep for the B1G.

Going to need speed and mobility defensively on Jensen. (Maly too)  ......Like Moriarity, Jazz, Wiedner,,,,Coley. Jazz probably.

On the other hand I see Creighton going after Issie and Markowski. With their defense.... and maybe trying to get the ball inside and create fouls trouble for Issie and Markowski.  Double team Markowski (or triple team)

Defense may be the deciding factor....for either side.

Creighton will have a plan, you can be sure. Defense is their strength.  In the past they've shot the 3 to win. They haven't shown that a lot so far this year.

Like every year, NU is Creighton's Super Bowl.   Men's BBall, baseball, women's BBall...whatever the sport.  They have that little brother mentality..... I'll show you big brother thing.

AM and IB hardly “feasted” in this game - a combined 5 for 17 and 11 rebounds.  Especially concerned about AM, one of the few players who has yet to show improvement from a very promising first year.

Compare her to Weidner and Jaz, both of whom seem noticeably better.

Lol, I simply want us to win the next game up.  The post season will then take care of itself.

Alexis and Issie did not have great games on Friday. As I noted during the first game Alexis was receiving ice, or heat for her lower back (would think heat to keep her loose) during the first game. I did not notice any treatment during this game so hopefully a minor problem. We did not get into any type of rhythm for the paint so that can be part of our numbers as a result.
