If there’s anything the last two years have shown us, it’s that we should probably take our in state games seriously.  
 

We are 2-6 against in state competition in 2022 and 2023.  Those records just have to be flipped.  Have to.

Iowa just got boat raced by Minny 12-3 and Michigan lost to Buttgers 13-0

Two things...

 

1. There's no way Nebraska wouldn't be in if the B1G got 4 teams in.

 

2, There's no way the B1G is able to get 4 teams in.

With Indiana's loss tonight to go to 7-3 overall in the Big Ten, Nebraska and Maryland are now tied atop the league at 5-2.

Huge series this weekend for us & for Iowa - Hawkeyes will be putting all their eggs into trying to win the series, or they're pretty much out of the conference race. They have a weak schedule over the back half, so they could make a big run late, but they need to close the gap on us.

 

We get 2 of 3 at Iowa, and we have a great chance to win the league, as our back half schedule sets up nicely as well.

 

NW may not win another league game - brutal schedule remaining.

 

And watch out for Rutgers - they have a favorable schedule left and could make a big run up the standings. Michigan's remaining schedule is favorable too.

I just don’t see a path to 3 B1G teams Though I guess it’s possible.  2 would be my pick right now though.  It’s imperative we win the series with both Iowa and Maryland.  Period.
