Coach Williams (0:00 - 8:00)  Discusses B1G player awards announced today, lead-up to the B1G Tournament, and briefly touches on NCAA prospects.

Jaz Shelley (15:45-20:00) 

"Our team is just genuine people who really love the game and love to play together, and I think this is a big factor in our ability to get wins" (over top teams).

 

Alexis Markowski (24:00-31:20)

regarding awards: "I didn't do it myself; it was truly a team effort."

"Its a special group of girls."

"Right now we have a lot of momentum, and I think we all just really believe we can win, and that belief is just going to spark us."

did anyone catch which Big Ten coach stated the Huskers are a "bubble team" for the NCAA's?

btw, Kevin Sjuts asked coach williams about the statement during today's press conference.

ok, got it.......Kim Barnes Arico from Michigan

my goodness, you would think a coach from the Big Ten would have positive words for as many Big Ten schools to get in as possible. 

 

never liked michigan...............just a little reinforcement!

Yep, definitely got it....load and clear.  (that wasn't too smart.)  Barnes/ Arico seems to have forgotten which "bubble" team beat her. 

 

That statement will probably be on the wall in the husker locker room. 

 

A sweet victory could be in the making, for our 24th win, if we get to play MIch. this week.

 

AND.....that was an excellent  press conference video. What great teammates.

In the press conference Alexis Markowski said that she liked our side of the bracket in the tournament, or something like that.  (just fwiw)

You're going to talk down about a team that demolished you earlier in the year.  I'm sorry-- I'd rather not have a blowout to a bubble team on my resume.
