I figured the coaches would vote him 1st team and the media would vote 2nd team, like they did with Palmer in 2018.

If there was ever a player that deserved the award despite finishing 16th out of 18 teams, it’s definitely Brice!

Sorry, couldn't resist.   I don't mean to diminish the award, and I think that sportsmanship is still important and deserves to be recognized.

In the last 14 seasons only 6 players on teams with losing records have been named to the B1G 1st team. Brice is the only one to be named to both the coaches and media 1st teams.

Which makes it even worse that we have gotten this kind of talent and still can't get to the tournament and win 1 game.

Frustrating how Fred has been able to bring talent here but not put it all together 

Really a big achievement considering only 6 make it as a first teamer in an 18 team conference.

Is there a problem with not being able to put the talent all together or not being able to put together a better support cast around that talent?

I'm not sure. On paper when you look at this roster alot of guys from major conferences and its not like we were the only teams who wanted them but it seemed like the effort at times was god awful. Either way it all goes back to the staff either they didn't assemble a good enough roster or couldn't motivate said roster. 

Absolutely no reason why you can beat teams like Creighton but go to places like Penn State and get blown out
