Sam McEweon, in this morning World-Herald,  has a great long article on Leigha Brown and the dynamics and advantages of having a player of Leigha's abilities being the first player off the bench.  Coach Williams calls her the beast off the bench.

Excellent article.  It seems to support all the different opinions we've been sharing, regarding Leigha starting or not.  Coach has sound reasoning for her current role. As a trusting teammate, Leigha is happy to embrace it.  On the flip side, you get the feeling, she is looking forward to starting in the future, when personnel changes create a different need/opportunity.  Great to see the OWH providing some insight into the WBB program.  Thanks Sam.

Read the article...NU's Beast off the bench very good stuff. In printed paper, and it's online, of course. (subscription)

Fairly long, and talks about how valuable Leigha is to the team, and she is needed during crunch time. Brown may not be to thrilled to come off bench, but she trusts Coach. and Coach has Brown in at crunch time...4th qtr.

One resaon she comes off the bench, is because Leigha can spark the team...fire her teammates up, and at the same time, she's coming in fresh, and other defense may be a little fatigued..so mismatches occur

Coach says Brown makes the guard position and rotation, very versatile as a team. Not only a 3 shooter, Leigha does it all.

Leigh talks about learning from her dad, him coaching and teaching her to have quick first step,   and driving ti the bucket., etc etc
