Gentlemen, this is by far and away the reason for the loss tonight.  I'm not even blaming the refs for this insane discrepancy (even though they probably deserve it), but OSU is a season 68% free throw shooting team.  If they shoot their average, this is an even ballgame.

Is there a game this year on the BTN when we don't have an analyst that played for the other team.  I understand we aren't going to have any of our players being an analyst unless BTN hires him, but this is at least the 2nd game this year that had an analyst that played for the team Nebraska was playing that night.

I disagree with Jim Jackson in that Nebraska shouldn't hang their heads.  Yes, we should.  Now, you tell them to bring that effort every night, and you can win a good majority of your game at homes.  We need to change the mentality that it okay to lose as long as we try hard.  If we keep doing that we're never going to win an NCAA tourney game let along get there.

We never went inside the first half, so there's no way we should have shot a free throw.  Until we have guys that attack the basket, we'll be on the short end of the freethrow stick.

looking at the box score, fouls were definitely the difference. we we whistled for 7 more fouls, and most of our total (17) were shooting fouls.

 

really impressed with how we stormed back on the boards after that horrifying start.

i think we get blocked so much going inside that refs don't call the body contact for us as much as the do for our opponents. some of that's deserved. so even when we attack, we're not getting very many calls. OSU had 6 credited blocks tonight, and it felt like about 12.

Cip I understand that but when we did go inside there was contact.  Not why we lost, we lost because they had an answer to everything we threw at them.

Yeah, but Rivers was a key part to coming back after we got down 15 in the 2nd half.  He had 9 of his 13 during that stretch.
